It was way to expensive for what you get! Place need maintenance/ tub water dirty/no firelighters or matches/ Koffie / sugar only a few in tent - Towels old and raget - Our experience of Kambati was to go as cheap as possible! only you pay the high price I will not recommend to any one

Best family getaway we have ever experienced. So much activities, comfortable camping, very equipped, friendly staff, amazing food options. We shorted nothing here except having to pack up and leave eventually.

Good quality tents, and lovely beds. Also comfy when the wheater isn't great. You can make a fire and there are electric blankets. Views are stunning and there is a lot to play around for kids of all ages.

I've stayed here before when the whole venue was booked and no kids were present. We had a great time! This time, we were woken at 6:30 by the screaming of our neighbour's kids, who had also yelled and cried until 9pm the night before. Unfortunately the sound does tend to carry due to the lack of proper walls. Our next neighbours also had kids and they were a lot quieter - only started playing at 8ish, so didn't wake us up or spoil the peace of a morning coffee. As always, the actual tent was great - although the new inverters in each tent did keep the couple in that room awake due to the whirring - again, not what you want when in nature. They need to find a better spot to put the inverter than in a vented cupboard right at the foot of the bed, or else get quieter ones. It also emitted a blue light that meant we had to cover the vents of the cupboard because it lit up the room like a TV screen had been left on. The restaurant was closed on a day it was marked online as open, meaning we had to make an additional 30 min trip each way into the nearest town which we had had no intention of revisiting. This is why we marked down the location - if the nearest town is more than 15 mins drive away, either have a store where you can buy food without pre-booking it. Or at least have the restaurant open when you say it'll be open. Other than all of that, we loved the hot tub - although all the lights around it weren't working - and we had a tent right in the river reeds and we love bird watching, so sitting at dawn and dusk and watching the birds was a highlight. The swimming pools were very welcome in the heat with nice places to sit around them. We'd have enjoyed an actual demarcated and maintained little walking trail around the property but still had a nice walk up and down along the campsites by the river - about 4.5km. This spot had the usual pitfalls of Africamps - noise from neighbours' kids, being an offering attractive to families - and flappy walls when the wind picks up, but if you ignore those things it's still a nice overall experience every time, and we keep going back. The actual tents are very nicely kitted out and kept very clean. This was our 4th Africamps stay and we'll go back for sure.

We had a lovely stay at Africamps in Kam'Bati. The tents are very luxurious with comfortable beds/ bedding and a gret en-suite shower room. The view from our tent was great and all the tents are private/ far enough away from one another. There were a few things that weren't so great/ needs some looking at: - We stayed over new year and the hosts failed to mention to us that there is a neighbouring farm that runs a 3-day music festival every year over this period. Pumping music played every night until 5am in the morning. Not ideal when you think you are going on a secluded camping holiday that's meant to be quiet. Even less ideal if you are holidaying with toddlers who wake up at 6am - we didn't get much sleep. - This festival is held every year and the Africamp hosts are aware of it. They should warn guests booking over this period that this is the case so they know it won't be quiet at night and maybe even offer a discount. (I have seen other reviews mention the same from previous years, so we are not the first ones to be caught out by this). - We were told that we would get 2 clean towels per guests, but we only received four large towels total (we were 5). We were also supposed to get a dishcloth for drying dishes, but there were none. When we queried it they said they didn't have enough towels and dishcloths available. I suggest they stock up. - The bedding although crisp and clean, had some holes in it/ were eaten by moths. I suggest they replace the bedding when this happens. - The edge of the pool is decorated by rocks stacked on top of one another and fixed in place with mortar between them. The mortar between the rocks have erroded over time causing loose rocks (trip hazards if you stand on them), with some rocks having fallen into the pool that has a dark bottom so you can't see them. My toddler slipped/ fell over the rocks and hurt his leg. Generally the pool area needs a bit of sprucing up/ TLC.

From the breathtaking views, socialising on the deck having a braai and taking long walks, it's absolute tranquility! Everything was catered for us. The tent was very neat and tidy. Thank you for the amazing stay Kam'Bati. We had an amazing time. We'll definitely be back.

Check in staff very friendly. Staff helped my partner build a fire which was kind. Beautiful location, gorgeous views. Watch sunset on the decking in the hot tub. Have all facilities you need. There is an inverter which allows the lights to work but does not allow for charging phones etc or Wi-Fi during loadshedding. Quiet and tranquil. Excellent place. Wish we spent more time there

The tents were nice, but the property and especially the variety of activities was far below expectation. i was also bitten by some insects other than mosquitos (The severe marks and level of itchiness was next level uncomfortable, and lasted more than a week after we left), will not return there unfortunately.
