"This is a special place - within a mill complex steeped in history. So some very interesting things to explore within the hotel grounds. The hotel itself was fine, comfortable room with everything one might need. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of free parking, swimming pool, gym etc on-site. And so very peaceful. Would stay again."

"Friendly reception on arrival. Was sent a text with a number to meting incase I needed it. Love the tartan carpet. Clean, fresh and well stocked. Extras available if needed for tea, coffee, etc. don’t be put off by the separate shower rooms. They are literally two steps over the hall and robes are provided. Lots of fluffy towels left too. I needed an early start so was left a huge continental breakfast. Remember that the bar is only open Thursday through to Sunday. It is on a busy road but good windows and blackout blinds help. Parking was available outside. Nice green opposite. Great for an overnight stop on my way to Edinburgh."

"A great stay! We stayed in the B&B to attend a show in Lanark, Alan offered to drove us in (which was so nice of him and greatly appreciated), he gave us a little tour and recommended pubs for afterwards. We stayed in 'The Wallace' room, which was small but ideal for the amount of time we were in the room. The room was clean, with modern decor and very comfortable. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. There was a selection of cereals as well as the option of a cooked breakfast. Alan & Avril made sure we left with full bellies! If we are ever in the area, we will definitely be booking to stay again."
