The hotel could do with an update. My room was basic but clean. The water system took ages to stop making a noise after the room next door used it. There was also a lot of doors banging .

The rooms were quiet, clean and spacious. The garden around the building was lush and green with some early fallen leaves. The service & the staff were both excellent. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful; the menu included locally sourced food. The portions were generous. The soups and the seafood we ordered were delicious. We will definitely return if we visit the area again. We highly recommend it. You will have a great experience here 👍!

We booked a self catering apartment which was pictured in the brochure. When we arrived it did not resemble the picture. There was a small bedroom with a small double bed, a lounge area with two worn out armchairs. The kitchen was spacious with the bathroom directly off the kitchen, which I think is possibly illegal. We declined the accommodation and were given another room which was not self catering, not even a fridge. The whole hotel was tired and in need of an uplift. The whole time we were there the TV system was not working. We were not made aware of this until our arrival. The dining room was in a conservatory and was very pleasant. The food was good and the staff were friendly.

A four star hotel this definitely is NOT. Very old and tired and in need of some serious updating - bathrooms especially. The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful The restaurant food was good Bar very small and again in need of some modernisation

Booked a spa day for myself and friend to include lunch and a facial. On arrival the therapist advised our facials had to be cancelled due to therapist having last minute emergency. Fair enough that couldnt be helped but could have rang us earlier to say. Happily accepted refund for our facial. Went into spa and it was very disappointing. Steam room not on. Warmish jacuzzi and cold pool. Uncomfortable beds by pool and kids splashing about. Not what you want on a girls spa day. At lunch the food was lovely but the service slow. The conservatory restaurant was run down. Dead flies all along windowsill next to our table. Overall a disappointing experience and id never go back here for a spa day.

Very poor breakfast experience. Shaby dining room/conservatory. Standard of room Cleaning etc poor. Better to eat ala cart rather than pre pay. Dining room unavailable for evening meal. Forced to use cold conservatory with no atmosphere

Not good value for money, very dated. Had to kill 10 flies in bedroom. Condensation on windows, difficult to open window, had to place book under window to keep open. Chemical smell in hallway. Pity as hotel seemed lovely in photos on website.

Malgres des chambre spacieuse et un personnel tres agreable , les équipements datent du siècle dernier mis a part le spa tout est vieillot , la TV ne’fonctionnaitpas , les murs des communs etaient a nus.Par contre le prix est bien de notre temps , ce n’est pas l’idée que je me fais d’un 4 * . Je ne recommande pas

We stayed here for our anniversary. The hotel is stunning with all old victorian style inside. The spa and pool was lovely. Cannot fault the staff. The views are gorgeous and not far from the beach of Dobbys final resting place, so we did visit that on the way home, which was great! The only thing I could complain about was the menu in the hotel was limited and there are no food places nearby at all. We were seated and it took a whole 4p mins for them to take our order. People who came in after had their orders taken before us, although when we pointed this out, our order was taken. Very expensive but totally worthit. The gardens to sit outside were beautiful and the bar is lovely.
