We visited for a wedding and found Lampasas to be a lovely, little town. Great Italian and German restaurants in town and a fun day antiquing. Not a bunch to do, but that was the appeal for us. A great place to celebrate and the newlyweds and come together with family and friends.

We arrived at 2:20p.m. and went to the counter and 2 people at the counter said that we could not check in until 3:00 or there would be and extra charge for early check in. Really?? we sat for 20 minutes and then another couple arrived at 2:40p.m. and they got check in and then we went to the counter, and they told me that they would check us in early. Horrible experience and I told them just that. Had we not walked to the counter they would have waiting until 3:00p.m. to check us in. We were the only ones in the lobby and had to sit and wait and because they check in another couple, they got busted. Horrible hospitality and should never have happened and they did not care at all about what they did. I told everyone who stayed at the property who we met up with and they were as shocked as we were. You are in the hospitality business and there certainly were rooms at 2:20p.m. to check us in and rather than check us in they wanted more money. Shocking and very disappointing. First timers as well, so did not sit well and started our entire trip off on a sour note.

Beds are uncomfortable matress is hard and lumpy , i typically like a hard mattress. pillows are the small square pillows used for decor, they were so small they folded half the standard size pillow case inside of itself to make the pillow cases fit.

Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff who tended to it was fantastic. Kudos to the young man who handled the last-minute rush on Saturday; he needs a raise. He was that accommodating. We were advised upon check-in that no one would be cleaning the rooms until after we left. I did question this since I know people came to my room each day during my last stay there. However, the desk clerk was adamant that it's been like that for years. If they keep this policy, I would suggest placing extra trash bags in the cans or somewhere in the rooms since the cans became full and overflowing during one night's stay, and we stayed 3. The pool was clean. The higher and premium TV channels were all in Spanish, which was never fixed during our stay, and I could not figure out how to get it out of this mode. The bed was comfortable, and the AC was fantastic. The shower head was so tall I could not adjust it even when standing on the tubside, but it did give good flow and hot water. Overall I will stay there again.

No negatives for this hotel from me. Clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Breakfast selection was very good. Staff was helpful and professional.

Poor experience! The pillows are so small, like half sized pillows. When I asked the evening attendant for two extra pillows he acted put out and was rather rude but did get them for me. The TV was not hooked up, my husband had to hook it up and program it. The floors were dirty in the room and halls. There was only two towels and one wash rag. The blanket on the bed was very very thin like as thin as the sheets and I had to ask for another blanket. There were two signs on the outside of the building that said “voted best hotel in Lampasses 2023 and 2024”! We were not impressed

The internet signal is so weak it drops the connection. When it is connected it sometimes says there is no internet connection. For someone counting on a reasonable internet connection, you should stay elsewhere.

Disappointed in this property. This is a “Plus” property but isn’t really. We stayed at a Plus in Sulphur La that was much nicer. The bed is hard and not much cushion. May be old mattress. Pillows were ok but not king size. Has nice shower but towel rack keeps falling off the wall. The toilet has an issue with flushing. Breakfast was a little less than average. We were down at 8 AM and the biscuits were dried out and crumpled in your hand. The eggs were dry as well. A small selection of bread and muffins. Did have waffle machine and fruit juice machine.

This is the only place we stay in Lampasas. I love this place. The breakfast is excellent, especially the old fashioned sausage gravy. I highly recommend this property. The staff is usually always very helpful.
