I won't argue that the room was lovely and the location is nice if you want to be on the lambertville side of town. There is no guarantee of onsite parking. Upon arrival we found no available parking and I went in to inquire. The staff was not in the least welcoming, which was quite a turn off. On my arrival the front desk person was cold and didn't even say hello as I approached the desk [she was looking at her screen, which was fine but a warm hello and I'll be with you in a moment would have changed the experience quite a bit!]. She repeated several rote statements about credit card fees and hours of the restaurant before giving me another rote speech [this is obviously not unusual] about how I'd be getting a pass to the municipal lot [which was empty anyway - so gee thanks] and directions to it [several blocks from where I was standing - I'm glad it wasn't raining and I had no mobility issues!] and giving me a key. I then heard her repeat all this in the same tone to the people who were waiting behind me. The following morning I returned my key to a new desk person, equally remote, no thank you, only asking if I'd'enjoyed anything' from the room offerings so she could charge me as needed. Then as I waited with my luggage for my partner to bring the car around I was treated to the desk person and another staffer complaining about visiting folks [conference center it sounded like, doing a scavenger hunt] and how irritating it was to accomodate this because they were busy. I was at most 8 feet away and they were not whispering - who wants to hear staff complain about guests? Ick. In addition while I don't see 'gym' listed here it WAS listed on ******* as having a gym - one of the things I look for when booking. It does NOT have one - they will give you a pass to a gym somewhere in New Hope, which I guess you can drive to by walking several blocks to your car. No thank you. It was not a cheap hotel and I expected a better experience. We won't be returning.
