Great location and nice roomy rooms. Breakfast was ok, limited selection and slow. Valet parking was great.

Where do I begin? We couldn't find an entrance way to the parking area. There was no sign to say entrance. We entered the front door as we thought that was the entrance way. No one was around and finally after a few minutes a bartender? came out and told us the entrance was in the back or upstairs. We drove around the back and parked our car only to be told it was valet parking and he would need our keys. No where did it say that. It did say on the website limited parking we have to pay for. We then proceeded to the registration desk which was a very dark area, not lit very well. The clerk kept sitting in his chair and didn't say much, not a real welcoming event. The valet person followed us in and once again explained it was valet/limited parking and would need our keys and a $19.00 fee. We said ok and as we got our room keys we went up to the room, 4th floor, once again a very dark atmosphere. The room was set up very strange with a sitting area in the center of the hotel room, not where you could see downtown or the lake. The bed was in the room where the city view could be seen, but only buildings. We were not very pleased and decided we didn't want the room. I called and the desk clerk spoke to the manager and said we could have an upgraded room with a somewhat better view, and wouldn't have to pay anymore. We asked if we could see the room first but he said we could not. We had to reserve it first. We felt that was strange and decided we wanted our money back and would leave. The desk clerk said he would cancel our stay. When we went back downstairs a different person (Ireland was her name) on the desk, very friendly, and she said she would cancel the room and we should see a credit in three to five days. We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza before and it was wonderful, but we thought we would like to try something different. We were very disappointed to cut our stay.

This is a fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Lake Placid on Main Street. You can use the valet service to keep your car safe while you walk around Main Street. We loved the chicken nachos at Marcy Bar and the maple cream oatmeal at breakfast. There were some hockey teams staying here but the hotel gave them private space so it was quiet and perfect for all the guests. We didn’t hear any noise after 9 pm. We have stayed here multiple times and the workers are always the best. Exceptional service and care in a beautiful setting. Be sure to walk the 2.7 mile loop around mirror lake! There are sidewalks the whole way and it’s beautiful year round.

What a wonderful hotel! I love Tribute Portfolios and this was no exception. From the location, to the views, to the room which was one of the prettiest I've seen, to the service, everything was just fantastic! I did think that Valet parking was kind of unnecessary since the hotel had a rather empty parking lot right attached to it, but overall it was amazing and I would stay there again and again!

Good location, but metal bed frame squeaked every time I moved. Additionally, the air conditioning didn't work, and it was unseasonably hot. Finally, the hotel double charged my deposit, and despite my calling multiple times, it took me talking to a manager in person to get it worked out. The price was extremely high as well, because it was an "event weekend." Not worth it.

The Grand Adirondack Hotel was a grand experience. Lovely room, lake view and time of year was absolutely gorgeous. However, when it was very difficult to get a gift card removed from total of bill. We were informed that they could not process and had to send it to other location. It has been 3 days and it was not yet applied, yet the charge for the 2 day stay was applied to card. Upon inquiring what is happening the front desk gentlemen was quick to say it is being applied and did not even let me ask any questions ask o how soon, since it has been 3 days, He cut me off. However, I will not hold that against the hotel in general. Maybe next time he can be less curt.

Downtown at its finest!
Our room was nice. Bed was comfy and the view of Mirror Lake was nice. Its right downtown, which made it easy to walk for shopping and food. You have to either pay $24 a day for valet or $25 for overnight parking in a public lot. We walked everywhere and drove for hiking.
