This Quality Inn is a rip-off, an exceptional example of poor quality: dead bugs on top of the radiator in the room, hidden by the window curtains, shower handles and heads that didn't work properly, microwave, and non-existent continental breakfast. My friend and I were there for a special Lake City Weekend, Artsfield. We didn't know hotels in the area but we learned quickly that we would never, ever, return to the Quality Inn. The glitches in the room were far overshadowed by the conditions at the continental breakfast. The only thing operable was a hot waffle maker with days old waffle batter close by along with three pieces of fruit, two rotten (banana and apple) which we threw away, no cups for the coffee, cream was unavailable but a half- used half-gallon of milk was in the refrigerator along with one small individual container of yogurt. NO bread, muffin, sweet rolls, anything at all other than the items I mentioned. The reality of the circumstance did not match the advertising. There was only one attendant, the same one, 24 hours a day, who did everything. He was pleasant enough but on two occasions (about ten a.m.), it was clear that he was asleep and was awakened by the bell. It was clear that this quality inn is struggling to survive but didn't mind charging a hefty for our weekend in Lake City. Though we knew the price in advance and left without really requesting an adjustment in our rate, I followed up with a call (that wasn't returned) and an email note to the manager, Deepak Patel, who was defensive, mis-read my message when I asked for a rate adjustment. I did not ask for a refund, only to be compensated for some of the lack of quality. His canned response was "Dear Valued customer..." In my mind, neither my friend nor I were valued customers. Our weekend in Lake City was lovely EXCEPT for the disappointing experience at the NOT Quality Inn. I am certain that Corporate HQ for Quality Inn would not have been happy with either the (lack of) quality of our experience or the response by the manager.
