Hotels Near Piazza Garibaldi in La Spezia

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was available until 8PM. They had a great location right next to the train and within walking distance of a great nightlife and restaurants. La Spezia is a cute city. It's only a 7 minute train ride to Cinque Terra villages. The shower needs a door, but was spacious and had warm water. I did experience some problems with vaping/ electronic cigarette smoking on site. Unfortunately, some of it seemed to be coming from the cleaning crew. Hotels really need to understand how bad this problem is and how negatively it affects guests, especially people with asthma.

We had no problems at this hotel. The location was a stone throw from the train station which was very convenient since we traveled by train. We also used the train to visit Cinque Terre. Since Cinque Terre exploration envolved a lot of walking and we got back late, having the hotel close to the station was great. The breakfast here was great as well. I liked that you pay one price for an old room and a different price for a renovated room. This way you know you will get a renovated room when you pay for it. At many hotels, it's the luck of the draw. That being said, it did seem that all of La Spezia hotels seemed overpriced. What we paid for our nice, but tiny room felt very expensive relative to the pricing I have become used to in Italy. I'm from New York City where things are pretty expensive relative to Italy. This hotel was an outlier by seeming expensive.

Excellent location, just at the train station. We booked through booking.com and got an excellent deal. We were 3 adults and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate families and a small group of friends. Please note that there is city tax to be paid on site. Also just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the staff. Amazingly helpful. Helped us to check in after hours and then when staying again, helped to order pizza 😊. And you can store your luggage. Breakfast is included. You will get a voucher which can be redeemed in 2 places. It's for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry. Typical light Italian breakfast. Delicious. Just a note, to make sure you go to the correct one, ask before. As there are 2. One has RED flower pots in front and the other has WHITE. The staff is very helpful, and can chat to via WhatsApp. Thanks again!!!

We got to the hotel early due to the train schedule. Our room wasn’t ready, but the staff held our bags and gave us recommendations for exploring nearby. When we came back, they had given us a free upgrade to a larger room. The room was comfortable and clean with several added extras that made us feel special. The breakfast spread was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back!

The rooms are very nice, but a bit small. However, there is no reception. If you are lucky you will see small plaque (see photo) near a large door which infers that you are in the right place. However, there is no clue as to how to get in. When I rang the number on the booking form I was informed that I had been sent a WhatApp message with instructions as to how to get in - not a lot of use when travelling all day on Italian trains with no wifi. To be fair, the chap did turn up within 5 mins or so and let us in, but not a great start.

Very good niche travel destination, it is recommended, the hotel is good: 1, diet: breakfast in the middle of the rules,; booked half-board, dinner dishes can be; service attitude is very good; 2, parking: definitely have to go by car, stayed for two nights, the hotel garage 40 euros stopped for one day, Italy parking costs are similar in several cities, very expensive. 3, room: booked is the administrative sea view room (that is, the 4th floor room), the room area is really small, it is more than a dozen flat, a suitcase will be, two suitcases can not open, slightly have a nainai tide However, the executive room has a small balcony that can be smoked to see the scenery (the balcony will be covered by the room, which does not affect the view), and if it is the 4th floor (408, 409), the balcony does not have a room. But basically can't stand, no area, and the view will be blocked by other rooms, we just switched to other rooms. It feels like the room with 2 floors is the best room type.
