Bahiazul Resort Fuerteventura

We paid €3500 for 12 nights. This included a royal suite upgrade. It looks great in photos. It's tired. If just 2 of you,they lock unused bedrooms out of use. That's great if one of you snore and the other likes to sleep in peace occasionally. It's actually petty. The hot tub was unusable on the first day. I've no idea what was floating in it, but I wasn't risking it! The pool has an slimy residue. I left my inflatable lilo in it last night, I was amazed how dirty it was this morning. The shower base is blocked. Some lights don't work, the floor is incredibly slippy. Management don't care if you put a complaint in. I wouldn't be so bothered if it wasn't €3500. I've stayed in corralejo 12 or 13 times and this is the 2nd most expensive place I've stayed. But down near the bottom for quality. You're better off getting a detached villa in town (as this is 54 mins walk away). As a final straw, the €500 upgrade included a pod coffee machine. You get a total of 6 pods for 2 people for 12 nights! One cup every 2 days. Never ever again

Beautiful place; terrible, rotten customer service. I was at death's door after a heart attack. I could not fly or travel. Despite a letter from my consultant, Bahiazul refused to refund my money or negotiate in any way. Needless to say, we did not go, but they still took my money. Even Ryanair refunded my flight costs and we all know how bad they are for refunds. These people are far worse, they have zero compassion and just do not care. Absolute money grabbers; to be avoided at all costs.

OK will start with the negatives... ( only two so it's a short list) 1- I found the bed to be too hard. Didn't sleep that well for the week. This is a personal choice though and I'm sure if you like a firm bed you'll be fine. 2 around the swimming pool is very slippy on bare feet. Wearing sandals gets rid of this but if you don't you'll end up sliding around. Everything else is perfect.. I do actually mean that.. From the moment we arrived to the second we left the staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing, Villa was superb. Scenery is stunning. Beaches are the best I've been to.. I've had to be hyper critical to come up with the two issues above. If you're thinking about going ...stop thinking and just go. Watching the sun rise at one side of the villa and set at the other is breathtaking. Hire a car while you're there and go to the La Vaca Azul restaurant in El Cotillo.. That was a lovely day out.

From walking into the villa to going home it was perfect. We had the superior villa. We were expecting the pool to be cold after reading some of the review. But it was warm even at 12 at night when we're swimming in it. There is a jacuzzi in the pool which is even warmer than the pool. We arrived at 10pm at night and was given a lunch box of food. In the fridge was a bottle of water and a bottle of prosecco. The villa had every you need. Did 3 wash loads while there. They even provide washing machine pods and dishwasher tablets There are 2 supermarkets near ur which is very good. Not ot around it We had paid for half board when we booked and we are glad we did as the food was lovely. Different themes each night. Lots of meats and fish Only thing we were not happy with is when you book in they tell you that the restaurant will charge to your room. First night we had 2 assess of red wine on asking for the bill we had 2 coffees and 2 cokes added after that we asked for bill every night and paid as we went along. Also I asked for the receipts. On checking out we had asked to keep villa on was 50 euros more. Plus an extra 22 for a bottle of wine. I got my receipts out and showed I had paid for the wine. Receptionist took a photo copy of receipts. My advice pay as you go along and get your receipts Otherwise we loved it here. Would definitely come back. Was told the rooms are being upgraded to Premier villa next year and all will have jucuzzi and hot tubs on roof Have happy hhoyr in bar 9.30 to 10.30 but not on cocktails Missing having a swim today
