Magnifique hôtel, les piscines chaudes sont superbes surtout le soir avec un cocktail. Personnel très gentil. Bon restaurant. Vue sur le volcan Et superbe parcours à pieds dans la forêt de l hôtel ou l on rejoindre le Rio Arenal, nature presque intacte.

Un lugar muy bonito, pero los alrededores estan demasiado de oscuros, lo que puede provocar tropiezos o poca visibilidad de las instalaciones, incluyendo aguas calientes y piscinas. Deben advertir que las instalaciones al caer la noche son demasiado oscuras y se requiere de “flashlights” para alumbrar bien el camino. A su vez, el hotel no tiene Wifi en las habitaciones, lo cual es importante para extranjeros que no poseen cobertura telefónica durante los viajes. Hay que salir de la habitación a otros lugares de las instalaciones para poder conectarse a el Wifi y en los días que nos hospedamos llovió mucho y no contabamos con paraguas. Sin embargo, la comida muy buena, el trato de el personal excelente y las instalaciones muy bonitas. Lo de el wifi y la oscuridad fue un “big deal” para mi, por eso la clasificación de el review.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable speaking English well, which for us was great as we do not speak Spanish. The property was well kept, nicely manicured, Fabulous view of the Arenal Volcano in front of the property and the rain forest behind the property. The property is a bit dated and having your own transportation is something I would recommend. Food at the restaurant was great, the dining room had great views of the volcano and the wait staff attentive and friendly making us feel welcome.

First off, the staff is incredible. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and that made the experience great. The room was also very comfortable with a fridge and robes and slippers provided. Breakfast was great, and I fell in love with the enyucados. We had the misfortune of being there during a rainy week, but the views were amazing when the clouds cleared out.

Wonderful stay close to La Fortuna
We had only a breif stay at Montana Fuego - very relaxing - lovely grounds and lots of birds - and frogs. The thermales pools were very relaxing and the cool pool great for the kids - the staff were wonderful - extremely helpful with every request. The room was clean and very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful veranda and view into the grounds. Close enough to La Fotuna - and yet felt right out in the country - the bathrooms close to the pool were not very clean - but we were there over the weekend and there were lots of guests. Wonderful stay!

Nos hospedamos en Montana de Fuego durante nuestra viaje a Costa Rica y en general, fue una experiencia fantástica. La propiedad es hermosa, las habitaciones son cómodas y el personal fue amable y atento durante la mayor parte de nuestra estancia. La zona de la piscina, en particular, era encantadora, y disfrutamos relajándonos allí por las noches. Sin embargo, un incidente desafortunado dejó un mal sabor de boca. Una noche lluviosa, por accidente, dejé mis zapatos de senderismo junto a la piscina. Yo fui la última persona en irme, ya que era tarde, estaba oscuro y llovía. A la mañana siguiente, tan pronto como nos dimos cuenta del error, fuimos a buscarlos, pero los zapatos ya no estaban. Lo que resulta sospechoso es que una manguera, aparentemente utilizada para limpiar, estaba colocada exactamente en el lugar donde había dejado los zapatos. Esto me lleva a creer que alguien del personal de mantenimiento los encontró durante la limpieza. Sin embargo, cuando preguntamos en recepción y en objetos perdidos, nos informaron que no se había reportado nada. Esta falta de responsabilidad o seguimiento con los artículos perdidos fue decepcionante, especialmente para un hotel que, en general, se veía tan profesional y bien organizado. Tengo bien entiendo que los errores ocurren y al fin fue mi error, pero es difícil no sentirse defraudado cuando algo que podría haberse devuelto fácilmente no lo fue. A pesar de esto, la estancia fue agradable, pero recomendaría a los futuros huéspedes que tengan mucho cuidado con sus pertenencias. Es una pena que este incidente haya opacado una experiencia por lo demás encantadora.
