Room: The room was the half of a house, very spacious, with a very nice outdoor bathroom, shower and bathtub. Our room also had a balcony with loungers, but due to mosquitoes it was not recommended to use them. The room had no insulation at all, i.e. large gaps in the window and door frames, so that the air conditioning also ran outside. There was very little storage space in the room. Food/drink: There were two restaurants. One is a buffet, the other an á la carte, as a half board guest you get a 30% discount on the food in the á la carte restaurant. The buffet restaurant was very well organized. There was a good mix of pre-cooked food in warming bowls and cooking stations that prepared freshly. The tables were very spaciously arranged, there was no disturbance from the buffet. Everything was very clean, aesthetic, appetizing in a pleasant atmosphere. Facility: The hotel is about 500m from the small harbor of La Digue. Arrival, check-in, explanations, being taken to the room, everything was well organized. Overall, the whole thing is a beautiful complex and is well maintained. There is a pool with a pool bar. From there you can enjoy wonderful sundowner drinks. The hotel does not have its own beach but there is a very nice one within walking distance (15 minutes). Everything on the island can be reached easily by rental bike. The beaches are dreamy and the bike tour is worth it! There were too few shady spots by the pool, see also below. Staff: Very good, super friendly and helpful. General: I would like to highlight the fact that we were each given a free drinking bottle when we checked in. There were water dispensers at reception and by the pool where you could fill up your bottle at any time. One challenge was the day guests who could buy access to the pool etc. with day passes. On our days it was always between 6 and 10. You came back from an excursion as a hotel guest and were no longer given a lounger under a parasol. Our impression was that the day guests were treated very courteously, you felt like a second-class guest. That was definitely suboptimal.
