Opened in 2021, the Tanimachikun Sei Villa offers travelers a pleasant stay in Kyoto, whether for business or leisure purposes. With Kiyomizu Gojo Station just 800m away and Osaka International Airport only 49km away, transportation is very convenient. Just a short walk from Sanjō Keihan Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. Keeping busy is easy, with Gion Corner, Kyoto Tower and Shimohonnōjimaechō, 522−1 all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.

The location is difficult to find, and there is no attached parking space, but there are many paid parking lots nearby, and there are also supermarkets nearby.
The house is very clean and you can ask them to pick up any items you need.

5 min walk to Kyoto station. Having unpleasant experience at laundry area. This hotel has 2 separated laundry for male and female. However some female will crossover to use male laundry machine. This was due to free of charge of laundry service but detergent need to pay 50 yen per pack.
I would suggest Ala hotel to charge laundry service and upgrade your dryer. Many people complain these dryer not function welll as they required more time to dry their clothes.
Also some people forced to stop the in operating laundry machine and took up other people clothes and to dry and clean their own clothes.
Please get those 2 in 1 with equip password laundry machine which used by Keihan hotel.
Poor people need to stand outside the laundry room just to wait for their own clothes.

Always had an amazing stay at the Tokyu Stay hotel chain. Loved the location of Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sakaiza (Shijo Kawaramachi area), it is located centrally at Kyoto downtown and is walking distance to Gion and Nishiki Market. The room was clean and decent size for a deluxe double room (can fit 2 open carry-on suitcase no problem), and I just absolutely adore their in-room 2-in-1 washer+dryer. Each load takes at least 3.5-4 hrs to complete the entire cycle of washing and drying.
Thank you very much for the hospitality, will stay again definitely. Great Location. Thanks.

Newly renovated room, first-class facilities, a little unexpected surprise, located in a very quiet residential area. Seeing that there are no comments yet, I just want to say don’t hesitate. This is a good choice. The room is big enough! There are public bathrooms and kitchens, which are very thoughtful. Just note that you need to pre-register after booking to get the entry password. We arrived at 11pm and there was no front desk on duty, so we had to get the password via email.

This hotel has perfect loaction at Kyoto station, closed to Kintetsu Nara line entrance/exit, only 3-4 mins walk. When we took Metro subway, then walked another 3-4 mins. JR was also convenient, closer than subway station. Worth the price for the transportation convenience.
Hotel is new, room is clean and spacious enough to fit 3 guests as described in hotel pictures.
Self Check-in & out machine available, but staffs are friendly and ready to help if needed.

Hotel is conveniently located next door to a subway station. It is a few stops from Kyoto station. There are many stairs and no escalator or elevator when you exit the subway so not the best when you have luggage. Front desk’s staff English is quite limited, which surprised me given that Hyatt is an American chain and most guests were American while we were there. There are two Nespresso coffee machines in the lobby but no milk. There are three laundry machines on the lobby level. Each machine serves as both a washer and a dryer and takes 120 minutes for 600 yen. People lock their load with a code and you end up waiting for a long time waiting for someone to show up to remove their laundry. Room is tiny, the size of a closet. Our room had two twin beds and a sofa bed for a single person. There is no room to move. There are no sheets in the room so we called to ask for sheets. The person who answered the phone did not know what sheets mean so we had to go to the lobby and describe what we need. The language barrier is real. Our room was on top of a road and we could hear almost every car that went by. It does not seem like the hotel invested in good windows. Make sure to pack ear plugs. The bathroom is quite small and has a weird setup with a shower next to a bathtub. Front desk staff is also not helpful with recommendations for places to eat. They show you a barcode that lists restaurants, but do not provide recommendations. We found an excellent Indian restaurant very close to the hotel. You exit the hotel and turn to the right towards the subway, pass the dry cleaners and cross the street, you will see a mini-mart and then a basement with an Indian restaurant. They open at 5 pm for dinner. It is very inexpensive and delicious. I recommend the butter chicken and cheese nan. Front desk will print for you, there is a charge of 10 yen per page. There is no concierge and staff was too busy to respond to questions about how to get places, instead they offered a map. Breakfast gets busy so be sure to get there early. They offer rice, curry, soup, fish, fruit, bread, coffee, juices and more. The egg is extremely runny and when I asked the attendant if they have egg that is better cooked, she had no idea what I was saying. I would not stay here again because of not being able to communicate with staff and because the room is so small.

From the moment we arrived at Roku Kyoto, we felt completely taken care of. From the warm greetings we received as we got out of the taxi to the genuine smiles and hospitality given to us at Reception. There is a pride that exudes from everyone at Roku Kyoto, and for good reason. It is an absolutely extraordinary hotel. But it's not just the beautiful accommodations and the incredibly thoughtful design throughout the property. Nor is it just the sumptuous food stunningly presented at every meal. It is the people who work there and represent the true heart and soul of what the Roku Kyoto experience is all about. My wife and I have traveled all around the globe and we have rarely encountered such a level of excellence. The architectural design, the interior design, the facilities and the grounds are all stunning. In fact, the photos from their website do not do it justice. The room we had on the 4th floor was gorgeous and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered (and we travel often!). The tranquility, the views, the attention to detail throughout the hotel are are not just glorious but absolutely inspiring. The gorgeous pool is filled with water from the natural hot springs that abound in that area of Kyoto. It is a sumptuous experience to swim in that very special pool. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was the best we encountered in Japan. The food was beautifully prepared , the choices were extensive and stunningly displayed and the service was impeccable. In fact, service is another thing that sets this extraordinary hotel apart. It's not just well done, there is a pride and a joy that emanates from every member of the staff, no matter what their position. It's what gives this place true heart and soul and it's what elevates the experience. We will never forget our stay at Roku Kyoto and cannot wait to return! We would like to especially thank Kayo Naskagawa. Her attention to detail, her inherent ability to go the extra mile for a guest. Her sweetness and ease. Her ability to listen and use that information to heighten the Roku experience for a guest. Kayo, for us, represents everything we love about Roku Kyoto and why we cannot wait to return.

Outstanding
6699nigelaStayed here for 6 nights. Staff fantastic, room modern with all usual Japanese up to date bathroom facilities. Just a 6 min walk from Kyoto central station so access to all other areas in Kyoto either by train, subway or bus very easy. Free extras were the afternoon tea, happy hour drinks and evening supper - rice with sauce and nibbles. A couple of the major Buddhist temples 5 ,10 and 20 mins walk also the Japanese railway museum. Loads of food choices at and around the station. Very clean and affordable.
RrussyauA short walk from the Kyoto station, but wishing it was connected to it underground as the ground temperature was >35C and the station has very limited lifts to the ground level, get sweat to move large luggage up to the ground level...
The hotel though is super nicely designed and zen, the staff are super helpful.
A super good experience overall!
GGuest UserThis was my first hostel experience and I absolutely loved that there’s a private room with enough space to sleep, eat and put your luggage. I really enjoyed the efficiency of having an easy check in/out experience. The bathroom and shower rooms were always clean and organized. I definitely recommend for solo travellers.
GGuest UserStayed at Kyoritsu Resort for the first time other than La Vista. Put your shoes in the clog box at the entrance like a Japanese-style ryokan. It goes straight up on the tatami mat. I really like the relaxing style, but I'm worried about customers who don't even wipe the carry case. I think it's the same as walking on a tatami mat with bare feet. It would be great if you could use disposable paper towels to wipe at the entrance. The free private bath is a type that you use after washing in the large public bath, just like La Vista. There are hot springs and others. It's enough because you can use the 30-minute time limit. Each person had a luxury of one place. Ice cream after taking a bath, morning drink, and night crying soba are common. As for the third one, I can't participate yet because late hours are heavy on my stomach. Dinner is a Japanese course. Choose from 6 types of obanzai at the end. All types can be refilled and returned. You can choose either rice or noodles for your meal. It's not a luxurious ingredient, but I'm satisfied with the volume and taste. Breakfast is a buffet. How much is common, but everyone seems to be less interested than Tokyo Bay. I had a lot. The room is a compact twin. Shoji screens and bamboo Towa style I want a space to put my bag. Amenity is also a style to bring what you need in common. No waste. Buffet of tea.The variety was delicious. I was also interested in Arashiyama, but I thought that mutual use would be convenient if there was mutual cooperation such as luggage delivery. I saw several staff members in training, but everyone, including the front manager, was kind and comfortable. If you go to Kyoto again, please stop by.
Nnatashahad a pleasant stay at kyoto tokyu hotel! the room was clean, spacious and the staff are so friendly and sweet ~ they have a shuttle bus that goes to Kyoto station every hour which is so useful! the shuttle bus stops just right outside the hotel :) will definitely come back again !!
GGuest UserWonderful location no matter for taking public transportation or driving (3 parking spaces in front of hotel only but it is easy to find other parking nearby). Actually the location is not far from some historical sites/sightseeing places.
Excellent Japanese breakfast and the environment is enjoyable.
Staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is not big but already good enough. It is clean and comfortable.
The experience gave me a good impression of Tokyu stay. I will try other hotels under same group in next trip.
GGuest UserSuper convenient! 3 minutes walk from Kyoto main train station. Donki just 1 block away and a 7-11 on the ground floor.
Good room size.
Free luggage storage before and after check in
Total 8 washing/drying machines on 2 floors (still not enough!!)
GGuest UserI used double - m for one person, but when I entered the room one step, I thought, ”Is it not so large?” In fact, when I was arranging my luggage in the room and moving color 々, I realized that if I was alone, I would take a room that was quite easy to use. I didn't eat at night for one night, but all other places such as lounge and receptionist have a luxury feeling and luxury feeling, but I feel at home somewhere I felt it was a lodging facility to say ”I travel to live”.
Cchiwaithe location is great right within the city center. our room was large, and with a large bathroom. Kyoto station location offers a lot of eateries and shopping spots. Good food and great shopping experience.
GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay at this Machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) for 3 days. We only did in-room dining one night, but that was also excellent. The check-in process is a little strange, as you will receive communication from the company that's a little dense and will not interact directly with the staff unless you choose to. We had to scan and send our passport photos and fill out a registration card, but that was it. The property is small by European/American standards in the sense that you will need to be careful to avoid damaging (including possibly your own head) things during your stay due to height and luggage weight. There's slippers provided to switch from your walking shoes to walking inside the property and there is an excellent bathtub and washroom with washer. My two cautions - this firm has English speaking employees available during business hours (and an emergency line) but it is geared primarily towards the Japan renter. Be prepared to know Japanese or be willing to take the time to translate certain things via your cell phone/app of your choice to understand how to work the various appliances. As an older building, learning the heating/cooling. The second caution, as an older building sound is an issue. You will hear the street and need to control your volume in order to be a polite guest. If this isn't something you're looking to do, then just throw the money at a more modern hotel experience. We liked it - not everyone will.
