The disadvantage is that it is very inconvenient. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby. The nearest supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. It is quite windy when the weather is cold, which is not pleasant. The nearest public transportation station is 10 minutes, and the subway is almost 15 minutes. If you have too much luggage and don't have a car, I don't recommend you to check in. Or you can find a way to store your luggage before coming back.

The hotel is in a quiet alley, just walking distance to Kyoto Gyoen Garden and Nijo Castle. The hotel staff is very friendly. They sent many emails to help with dinner reservations before checking in. I like it. The front desk will greet you and say hello when you go out and enter the door. The room is huge for Japan, and the bathroom has a huge bathtub. The Japanese breakfast is rich, be sure to book breakfast.

おもてなしの心が尽くされていて気持ちがいい。サプライズケーキの届く日程について事前にメールで教えてくださったり、隅々まで配慮があった。 お部屋と浴室にスピーカーがあり、スマホを繋いで好きな音楽を流せるのが何気に嬉しい。 小上がりのようなスペースで頂く仕出し弁当がとても美味しく、大きな窓からは陽光が差し込みとても快い朝の時間だった。 町屋を改造しているらしく、3階まで狭めの階段で上がるので手荷物が大きいと大変かもしれない。 階段の登り降りをする音なのか、他の客室からの物音なのか、少しではあるがたまに聞こえてくる物音が気になった。
