It's right in front of the Hankyu Arashiyama, so it's very convenient.
It's a little out of the way from the tourist spots, so you'll have to walk, but if you don't mind that, it's a nice, quiet place. There is a private hot spring, but it's usually full, so it's best to go if you have time. This ryokan's location is amazing.
As soon as I got out of Arashiyama Station, the ryokan's location appeared, so I was surprised,
and it was right. What's even better is that luggage sending (for a fee. You have to tell us in advance and leave it in the lobby by 9 a.m. the next day) to the next accommodation was possible, so I was able to tour Arashiyama lightly and travel comfortably without the hassle of returning to the ryokan.
