You don't need to take a taxi to go to the Dianchi Cableway and Haigeng Park. You can walk. This is the biggest reason for choosing here. In addition, you can take a taxi directly in the underground garage of the B&B, which is also very convenient for those who want to take a taxi. It is more convenient for self-driving tours. Finally, the front desk lady is very kind. I will consider it next time.

It is only ten minutes away from Haigeng Dam, which is very convenient!

InterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby. So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible. In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

The homestay I chose this time is really amazing! The courtyard is fresh, exquisite and elegant. The room is in a Nordic minimalist style, clean and tidy, with dry and wet separation. The Dianchi Lake is just across the street. The boss is very nice. He helped me carry my luggage when I came and treated me to sweet soup when I left. I will come again if I have the chance.

Our family of four lived in a family room with two large beds upstairs and downstairs. The bedding was very comfortable, the small balcony was very beautiful, the breakfast rice noodles were delicious, and there was a yard planted by our family behind the building. The hotel service was also very good, and the meals provided were delicious. It is highly recommended!

The location was great just within walking distance to shopping mall and has lots of eateries around. The room was clean. Special mention of one of the staff Jack who had been really friendly and showed concern for the guest. Reminding us of weather and temperature drop and also introducing the surrounding of the hotel to us. Areas to improve: 1. Staff lack of awareness of facilities - when we asked about card access to the gym and laundry room, one of the staff insisted that no card access was required when card access was required. She even questioned us if we went to the correct place. 2. Service attitude - we asked for help with the hotel address and a local phone number for the delivery app . A male receptionist showed great impatience in assisting us (sighing and rolled his eyes) right in front of us. This really disappointed us as we expected better service.
