The journey from Munnar to Thekaddy is really enjoyable. However, if you are not fond of zigzag roads, it might not be so good. Pointers about the hotel: 1. Staff is really awesome 2. Spa options are good 3. Nice ambience - traditional Kerala style architecture 4. There is a kids play room which is a really good option to engage kids 5. Swimming pool is good and a way to engage kids 6. Very close to Periyar

Terrible stay
This hotel being a 5 star is a joke. The rooms are very old and the bathroom had a very bad smell to it. The room was not maintained well and was dirty. I have stayed at numerous 3,4, and 5 star hotels all over the world. This was by far the worst hotel and experience. The hot water did not work properly for showers and the lights went out at least once an hour. The restaurant’s food was very oily and they did not serve proper lunch after 1:30pm so for check in we had very few options. We had to visit nearby hotels during the stay for lunch because this hotel was not very accommodating. After a 10 kilometer hike we would have limited options and went to a nearby lemon tree hotel and the food there was much better. If I had to rate this hotel I would give it 2 or 3 stars and definitely not a 5. Online it says there are 2 restaurants but in reality only one will be open and there is no cafe at all. If you want a mediocre stay then you should stay here but if you want something memorable please choose another hotel.

Authentic and Serene!
Amazing place and a must stay for those seeking the authentic and traditional Kerala experience. The service is amazing and the staff go out of the way to make your stay memorable. A hughe shout out to the staff for the Christmas Dinner. With a rebound of the pandemic (Dec 2021) the staff did a brilliant job managing the buffet and ensuring everyones saftey. While the bathrooms get a 5 star for ambience an only area of improvement would be the bathroom plumbing. The resort ambience and customer service more than compensated for this issue though.

The place was in a decent location but not much to do as it’s right amid-st the jungles
the rooms were also okay and nothing too great as we had just stayed at munnar at the grand cliff resort, so, naturally comparisons were in order

Our group had a wonderful time in the Elephant Court. The service and food were great, the houses inviting and I enjoyed e. g. the additional massage very much. A highlight for me was the artwork which I received from Alisha. She covered my hands with the most beautiful Henna-Mandelas I've ever seen. The ladies in my group were also very touched about her work. It was just a matter of time, that they could not have this experience. Above the qualified Artwork, I experienced Alisha as a very friendly person, who gave my staying in the elephant court a very special memory.

Warm welcome. Rooms are very clean. Food is also good. Swimming pool is also clean and well maintained. Greenery and silent atmosphere. Lovely place. Resort is very near to natural forest and periyar tiger reserve. Highly recommend. Overall experience is excellent. Love it.
