We checked in late at night, but the reception welcomed us warmly. The rooms we got were very quiet and they cleaned the room every day. The amenities are a bit dated but still acceptable. The air conditioning was very cold and loud, so I had to turn it off at night. The hotel is a bit away from the downtown area, albeit still within walking distances. I actually like the area better because we managed to find so many fantastic local restaurants and a good laundry shop. If you go to Bako national park, the 1A bus stop is not far away - somewhere close to Chong Choon cafe. Unfortunately the hotel staff was not even aware of this and they told me there was no bus nearby to Bako national park. Maybe they didn’t expect their guests to take public transport.
