Swiss-Garden Beach Resort, Kuantan

Booked for a reunion with friends who flew in from London and massively regretted it as soon as we arrived. I am shocked by all these positive reviews. They simply cannot be real.  None of the photos of facilities shown in the description are real or operational.  The whole hotel is a horrific building site and there is constant jack hammering from 10-6.  There is no restaurant or bar except one small room that functions as everything until about 10.  Food is mostly reheated frozen stuff being prepared from a tiny operational kitchen.  Then no room service.....nothing.  Most of the hotel is shuttered and inaccessible.  The pool, though barricaded and inaccessible, looked ok but when I woke up to swim on day 2, it was all green and not allowed to swim.  There is literally nothing open and nowhere to even sit, except your room.  The beach is a 5/10 but very neglected and zero facilities.  The photos are not real.  I have videos of the jack hammering but videos cannot be uploaded here but will do on google.  You simply cannot even hear anyone talking to you, it's that loud.  The staff was nice (the only positive) but fed up with the building works and for taking the flack from customers.  It is a scam for this hotel to be open, it should be closed for business during this renovation or at least made clear to clients.  "Renovated in 2023" is an utter lie.  Will be contacting Trip to pursue refund and to remove this hotel from their listings 

Loved the beach and pool! But wished parents are allowed on the slides because not all kids are brave enough to slide down on their own

The front desk staff are very helpful and try to fulfill the customer expectations. 1st day the room located at 1st floor was very noisy when I requested to change the other room at high level floor. They are quick response to me.

Staff are friendly and helpful. New renovations, sea view room & I love the smell of aromatherapy of body wash.

This is my 3rd times here. No regret at all, the place was so nice, peaceful and suitable for kids. Will come here again and again!🤩
