I recently stayed at LYF Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, and it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel's vibrant and modern design immediately stands out, creating a youthful and energetic atmosphere. Located right in the heart of Chinatown, it offers easy access to local attractions, street food, and public transport, making it a perfect spot for both tourists and business travelers.
The rooms are compact yet functional, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You may request for slippers, toothbrush, etc from the receptionist. The shared spaces, such as the co-working areas and lounge, are excellent for those who need to get some work done or simply want to relax. Free wi-fi is fast and functionable well. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile.
It’s an ideal choice for solo travelers or groups who enjoy a sociable and lively environment. Overall, LYF Chinatown Kuala Lumpur is a great blend of comfort, convenience, and creativity at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Quite big room, very clean, super comfy bed and nice view on floor 14.
I stayed 10 days and asked for a table and and chair. They provided instantly. Without it, the room is a bit unpractical. Also no closet to store clothes.
But in the end it was all good for me.
Super friendly stuff. :)
A devider between shower and bathroom would be quite handy as well. I just had to use the mat more often to dry the floor.
Thanks 🙏🏼🌺

There’s total 6 floor of accommodation, M floor for dining, roof top is pool open 7am-1030pm daily. While you doing your check-in , hotel staff will serve you a welcome drink ☺️
This is 1 of the hotel I saved long time, and finally got the chance and come.
Overall, consider good except below matters.
Note matters:
1. after 6pm, room can heard bunch of birds noise. During sleeping time also small bunch of birds sound around.
2. Hot water will need to take time to reheat, before you ready to take shower, can on for few mins and wait 1st.
3. Don’t have cheapest parking near by. the nearest parking is central market. Charge by hourly before 5pm-7am
4. Becareful if you’re alone / lady traveller. There bunch of homeless people’s around the hotel. But they don't mean any harm.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Hotel in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, and while the experience was generally okay, there were a few issues that affected my overall impression.
The hotel itself is fairly decent, with clean rooms and basic amenities that provide a comfortable stay. However, I was disappointed by the parking situation. The hotel advertises parking as part of the amenities, but when I arrived, I discovered that the parking was actually managed by a private owner. This meant an additional charge, and the parking area was quite a distance from the hotel. If you're walking, it's a bit of a hassle, and if you're driving, you have to take a large detour to reach the outdoor car park. The parking fee is charged per entry, which I found inconvenient for a hotel that promised parking availability.
Aside from the parking issue, the hotel is located in a convenient area near Chinatown, making it easy to explore local markets, restaurants, and attractions on foot. The staff was friendly, and the overall service was satisfactory, though nothing exceptional.
In summary, while the location and the hotel itself are decent, the parking situation was a significant inconvenience and impacted my overall experience. If you're driving, be prepared for the added hassle and costs.

The worst part was that the hot water in the bathroom for the entire hotel was out of service since 1st DEC 2024. It's been 20 days without solving this issue. The floor was not clean. The noise from the room next door was quite loud. The towel has been used for probably years. Recommended to provide new towels after 2-3 months used.

I was initially concerned about staying at this hotel after reading reviews mentioning cleanliness issues. However, my experience turned out to be pleasant and even exceeded my expectations. While it’s true that there was some mold in the corners of the room and bathroom as noted by others, it didn’t bother me much. Soundproofing could also be better as I occasionally heard chairs being dragged upstairs and doors slamming in the hallway, but these noises were infrequent and didn’t disrupt my stay.
On the bright side, the room and bathroom smelled fresh. The towels and bed sheets provided were clean and fresh, though some had minor old stains. The sofa pillow do had a slight odor though so I avoided that. The bed was also comfortable, and I slept very well throughout my stay. The shower’s water pressure and temperature were excellent and the hotel staff was friendly too!
The standout feature of this hotel is its fantastic location. It’s within walking distance of many popular tourist spots like Jalan Alor Food Street, Chinatown, TRX Mall, and Pavilion, making it incredibly convenient.
The breakfast was also pretty decent, offering a decent spread with an egg-cooking station, dim sum, nasi lemak, roti canai, fresh fruits, and pastries. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, and the convenience and comfort outweighed the minor flaws.

I had a good experience at the hotel. I booked for a night but then for another night cause I extended my trip in KL. Didn’t expect the view, but I got a room with city view where I can see both KL tower and twin towers at the same time which is dope. Also the location is close to Chinatown town where you can find lots of food choices. It’s only walking distance to Alor street food market as well. Thank you for the good experience in KL. Would like to go back again if I’m travelling to KL again

Staying with my husband for business purposed. Booking through Floresta Hotel websites & got discount too. The room worth the price. It was budget hotel but still nice in terms of room cleanliness, amenities & facilities. The staff are very helpful & kind. The one who served us is Ms Sofea. She's so nice, we came here for a business but decided to extend since it was a nice hotel. And Ms Sofea help to arrange room with good view. And lurveee the lobby, feels like you're in jungle. It was nice if you put fake river too haha.

EEdJHSince it is a 3-star hotel, I won't have any high expectations on it.
The receptionist is friendly enough and checked me in early at 1pm, although the check-in time is 3pm. The deco of the hotel is quite authentic. They also provide the water machine for refill.
The hotel location is strategic, which is near the Petaling Street and Pasar Seni subway. However, the area has a lot of vagabonds, which they won't hurt the people at all. The room does not have better soundproof.
Overall, as a 3-star hotel, it is considered not bad.

GGuest UserAfter staying in for a few days in January 2023 , this Lovely and Beautiful Capsule Dormitory called Space Hotel , I really like it so much... the room is super cool, dormitory is spick and span, Hot and cold water Shower with Free Shower Gel, Free Hot and Cold water dispenser at Lobby , Capsule price is reasonable. Now whenever I travel to Kuala Lumpur, Space Hotel is my first choice and my place to stay. The whole Dormitory really lived up to it's name... is designed like a Space Concept. The Front Desk Officer MrDihyau, Housekeepers Mr Islam, Mr Sumon is friendly and helpful including Lady Boss Janice. Space Hotel is located in very good location...short walking to Petaling Street Chinatown and many yummy food nearby... popular with the locals and tourists is Foong Coffee shop and Ho Kow Hainan Cafe, Central Market with a Food Court selling good food, reasonable prices and many shops selling souvenirs and Malaysia Quality products is a place to visit. Just book a Grab Car which is very cheap abt RM6 to RM 12 depending on peak hr/off peak hr... not far away is my place to go for shopping, food, IT products is the Famous Bukit Bintang Area. For IT products you must visit Plaza Low Yat, Giant Supermarket @Sungai Wang Plaza is my place to go to buy fruits and drinks. Within walking distance in Bukit Bintang, is the Famous Alor Street Food, LOT 10 Mall and also Beautiful Pavilion Mall. As a experienced traveler, I would highly recommend all Solo traveler and family/group (they also have Family Room) travelers. In my opinion, Space Hotel deserved to be 5 Star rating .

KKim LorraineLocation was great. Unit was suitable for families. Morshad Khan was very prompt and helpful on fee times we had challenges on checking in and wifi issues. Reservation Service Assistant is a bit inconvenient to contact and gave us the wrong door passcode and quite unable to resolve the wifi issue until Morshad came to help. Overall, the experience is good, Morshad made it better. Would appreciate if there was a brief proper orientation of the amenities of the unit.

AAzri_AbdStaying for 1 night on 7 June 2019 with my family. This time we took a Deluxe room. I book the room through booking.com. Upon check in, i presented my ID but they still asking me for the booking number which i don't have with me at that time. It's seem that they really didn't welcome my arrival as the my room rate I get from booking through booking.com is more cheaper than their published rate. Through my previous experience checking in the hotel which I booked from booking.com, the hotel never request of the booking number and only enough with my Identity card and they can manage to find my booking number. But not with this Lavana Hotel. I really felt unwelcome with their staff action towards me. Room doesn't have any telephone or in house intercom. What if there is a request? Then I have to come down to receptionist to request and this cause inconvenience. But most importantly, what if there is an emergency? I did ask the staff at the front desk about the telephone, but their answered was so disappointed. The answered I get from the staff ”Actually, That room doesn't have telephone”. They didn't even try to apologize and try to rectify the issue. Upon entering the room, they didn't even provide any towel. We have to go down and ask for the towel. If you want to have peaceful sleep, don't stay at this hotel as you can hear people talking from the next door. This hotel does not have sound proof wall. The only different between standard room and Deluxe room is only that the deluxe room equipped with a window. The size of the room and facilities and amenities are the same. Upon checked out, they asked me to wait for a while and after few minutes I came back, they claimed that I already check out and already returned the cash deposit to me which I never received it yet. To kill the time waiting, I just go out for 5 minutes for a smoke and when I'm back they told me that I already check out and they already returned the deposit cash (which I haven't receive). So unprofessional!! After confronting with the staff, they finally returned my cash deposit. The good thing about this Hotel is the location as it is near to LRT station and to Petaling street market. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!!

AAndysoseWe booked the Apartment through Air BNB, and we felt satisfied. We rent 2 bedrooms apartment and it was spacious with completed facilities. The Apartment located at the central, walking distance to Bukit Bintang Area, Jl. Alor and also easy to order Grab Taxi or Grab Food if you need to order it. There is also a convenience store, coffee shop and restaurants next to the apartment. The swimming pool is huge and superb. Great place to stay.

SSteve PI booked this one in a rush, and didn't pay careful enough attention. The hotel is above some shops, and has an austere Soviet feel about the place. We got our rooms, which were next to each other. Before we opened the door, I could tell by the layout of the hotel that they wouldn't have windows. Sure enough they did not. They also smelled a bit. My daughter felt they smelled of damp, I felt they smelled of camphor (to kill bugs and insects), either way they were dark, dingy, unpleasant places. Not the sort of place you'd want to stay. I went back to reception, and after some negotiation, and a little extra money, we got moved to front rooms. Different floors, but one above the other. Gosh, what a difference. We looked out our windows and had Chinatown spread out in front of us - Jalan Hang Lekir leading to the crossing with Petaling Street. Around 100 yards along Jalan Sultan there is Modern Madness brewpub (which doesn't actually brew beer, but adds flavouring to beers they buy from the Napex brewery (Legend beers). We loved it here because of the location, and ending up with rooms with a view. If we had the rooms without no windows, we would have hated the place.

GGuest UserThe originally planned house was said to be broken down, so we stayed at a nearby hotel. After struggling for a long time, it rained heavily, but the location and room of the hotel shown were still quite good.
Since staying fit is important to a lot of guests, it's no surprise that gyms can be found in many hotels.
