A hotel in the center of Kuala Lumpur on Bukit Bitang Street. The location is great, you can walk to the Petronas Twin Towers in about 20 minutes, Pavilion Shopping Mall is a 10-minute walk away, there are many cafes, exchange offices, souvenir and grocery stores on the street, nearby on a parallel street is the famous Jalan Alor - an open-air Asian food court street, the nearest metro-monorail station is a 10-15-minute walk away. The street is certainly noisy and at night in the hotel for lovers of silence it may be uncomfortable. The hotel is quite budget, we got a room without a window, we had a similar experience of accommodation, but we were not delighted with the Astar Hotel. The room without a window is very small, stuffy with high humidity. The air conditioner hangs right above our heads and when turned on, it cools the room-closet very much. Some small insects are running around the room, they do not bite and do not bother, but the fact of their presence is confirmed. The bathroom is also small, the toilet is located directly next to the shower, there is no partition between them. We chose this hotel on our own initiative on Booking, since we chose a budget option without prepayment, everything would be fine, but the lack of a window and the super small area of the room make me give it a rating of 3/5. By the way, the hotel, like many others, takes a deposit upon check-in, there were no problems with returning this deposit upon check-out (we checked out at about 3 am), I came across reviews on various resources that the hotel staff do not want to return the deposit upon check-out, from my own experience I say that this is not true or we were just lucky.
