Kelantan is non-popular states in Malaysia. It’s been a while since my last visit to this state and choosing the right place to stay is very important especially when bringing together an elderly person. Renai Hotel is an old hotel but I can see it was renovated recently. It’s located next to Billion Mall so there was easy access to supermarkets for purchase of daily supply. Surrounded by few businesses centre link banks and 24hrs mart. No worries about the location about 2-3km to KB Mall (Biggest in Kelantan) Service by the staff was super excellent and every demand from me, they were able to furnish fast. I can’t say enough how I feel appreciated staying there when the staff service was great We opted for the breakfast and again was impressed by it. Considering location of the states, I can have almost from local to western breakfast and almost intercontinental style. Also delicious meals every day. Only thing not in my favour is the parking & elevator was not up to my standard. Limited parking and old elevator making your waiting time longer.

Everything was consider good. Parking a bit sad because open carpark. No towel for us when entered the room. Called for a few times until manage to get towels. Aircond really not cold. After 8hours run temperature just stay at 25c ~ 26c only. Pool is nice at rooftop but too small and only for kids.

Booked one night on a whim as it is the only one with an available room in KB town proper. Wasn't expecting an amazing hotel, but having stayed there for one night, I think the hotel is great, and the staff are very professional and very courteous I might add. Room is clean, albeit a bit small, but no issue. There's some slight issue with sound as people kept opening and closing doors within my floor. Hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, convenience store and 24/7 laundry. Breakfast is limited, but it's enough to fill you up (Mihun goreng is too greasy though). Definitely recommended, but make sure to book in advance as they can easily get fully booked. I wanted to do a late checkout, but since my room is already taken, they couldn't accommodate my request. But that's fine.

Overall the stay was a pleasant one, the hotel strategic location is a plus for ease of travelling to all major attractions in the adjacent such as pasar siti khadijah and others, near and in walking distance to 7 eleven and other eateries. Hotel room is not spacious but in a clean and neat condition. no odor and whatnot, the lift working well and this hotel have plenty parking space (open car park just exactly in front of the hotel & limited basement parking on the hotel building itself. Lobby is very welcoming and there is a decent cafe/ coffee house/ restaurant in the lobby area. This hotel is a hidden gem in Kota Bharu apart of all the other well known hotels, i prefer this hotel and definitely will be returning in near future.

The hotel has a strong old-fashioned feel. The air conditioning is OK, not as bad as the previous comments say. There is no quilt, but the blanket in the photo. But the advantage should be that someone washes it for each guest, each has its pros and cons. Bus No. 9 from the airport. It runs every 2 hours. The terminal is not far from the hotel. And there should be a stop for passengers to get on and off at the intersection of Zheng He Archway.

We stayed here 2 nights before catching the jungle train at Wakaf Bharu, it’s in a great location, not far to food & the shopping mall. The rooms are a good size! We were in a twin which was very spacious & clean! We would 100% recommend here, for backpackers you can’t beat this place for value! The only negative was there was no free water refills & in our room the Wi-Fi was very temperamental but apart from that we were really pleased with our stay!
