The Last Word Long Beach

Amazing experience!

perfect location Villa we stayed is located on the beach, with amazing view to the sea and mountains. You can just enjoy view all the day. Beautiful, but wild sea, with big waves. Amazing beach, very long and very deep. Fantastic and sweet staff, ready to help 24/7. We had a great time.

Paradise Found A truly magical stay, really brilliant dinner and all drinks included which makes it better value for money. Lovely staff. Only downside is the rooms are tired and the whole pool and bathrooms need maintenance. Also a wider breakfast choice perhaps it is a bit limited. Thanks to Kim for looking after us perfectly.

The food was equally unforgettable, prepared with such love and care that each meal felt like a warm, personal gesture. Every dish was a delicious celebration of flavors, perfectly complementing the natural beauty around us. In the evenings, there was the sweetest touch—a thoughtful turndown service complete with bedtime stories about the animals in the bush. These little stories, left beside the bed, were a charming way to end each day and made me feel even closer to the incredible wildlife around us. The watering hole, situated right in front of you, gives the exhilarating illusion that nothing separates you from the wild. Of course, safety was always assured, but the closeness to nature was thrilling. When I first arrived, 15 elephants were gathered at the watering hole, right there before my eyes. And then there’s the hide—a unique experience that can’t be adequately described, only lived. Nestled close to the watering hole, it allows you to observe the elephants up close as they pass by for a drink. One particularly curious elephant even extended its trunk into the hide to take a whiff of us, which was absolutely exhilarating. Great location on Long Beach. Innovative, excellent cuisine. Friendly, attentive staff and well appointed large rooms. Lots of surfers right outside our room on the beach. Surfers called it the best place in the Cape Town area. Nice view of Table Mountain in the distance. Stayed three nights. Tours arranged by Last Word were wineries one day, including a visit to the oldest winery in South Africa, Groot Constancia, and horseback riding in the lowlands and along Long Beach. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

Last Word Long Beach is a hidden gem!!!!!!!!! From when you first check-in, your incredible experience begins with a warm welcome and a cold drink. The setting is sublime with amazing ocean views and also fantastic views across towards Chapmans Peak and Hout Bay. The rooms ae tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable and there's nothing quite like opening the shutter blinds in the morning and seeing the incredible views. The staff are attentive, helpful and friendly and will always go the extra mile to assist you. The meals are delicious and the portions generous! You can walk from the hotel to the beach and the walk along the beach is so special. We love this place and cannot wait to go back again!!!
