We stayed for 4 nights in a beach front pool villa. Celes resort has two parts to it, an old and a new part. They both have their own driveway entrance. We stayed in the new part and it was blissful. It has a spacious airy feel, with high rooflines, peaceful well maintained gardens. Speakers in the gardens playing faint beach style music has you walk the main pathways. The hotel pool in the new part overlooks bophut beach and also has a bar and lots of deck chairs and umbrellas around the pool. The breakfast has an excellent selection. The best I experienced this holiday. The old and new Celes share the same breakfast area. You can sit at the beach, or inside. Lots of staff available if you need any assistance. Our villa was superb. The king size bed was way bigger than a king size. The biggest bed I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room is very spacious, with a large day bed at the from window which overlooks the villa pool and bophut beach. The bathroom is large, with a bath in front on a full length window which overlooks the beach. You can draw the blinds if you wish for full privacy. The villa also has a number of items in the mini bar, including beer, that are free of charge and replaced each day by housekeeping. The villa pool is massive and perfect temp, there are sections in shade if you want that, or full sun. A very large couch/daybed with lots of cushions and a counter levered roof for some shade. Two seperate deck chairs and an umbrella over it. There are stairs and a lockable gate so that you can access the beach directly from your villa. The beach in front of the villa is lovely, so peaceful and glassy in the mornings. We had one day of rain and wind, but apart from that it was magnificent. You can walk about 10 mins along the beach to fishermans village where lots of top quality restaurants, cafes, shopping, massages can be found. The hotel also has a free shuttle twice a day that can take you to fishermans village or Chaweng if you wish. We dined in the hotel restaurant for lunch one day and the food was excellent. We hired a scooter and parked it at the resort with no issues. I highly recommend this resort, if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, then this place is for you

This hotel is located out of town on the far end of Mae Nam beach, close to the ferry terminal, it is well presented with a lovely pool over looking a small piece of private beach. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the accommodation is nice with rooms and bungalows available, our bungalow had a fridge, safe, good bed, hot shower and complimentary tea, coffee and water. Breakfast was included and was very good, overall the hotel was good value for money.

For a backpacker, it truly doesn’t get better than this. I stayed in a private double room and it was fantastic, clean, modern, with all the amenities you could want (plug sockets by the bed, hangers, hair dryer, balcony and drying rack).
The pool area was a lovely place to sit and I regularly got up for breakfast before 8am. I’d typically be the only one awake at this time. For a sunbed, you’d better be at the pool by 10am for a good spot as it does get busy.
However, there were some downsides. I booked 6 nights and although I loved it, the construction noise from the plot of land next door was unbearable. 8am to 8pm, drilling, banging, hammering, shouting. You could hear it from the pool too, so not exactly the “relaxing” stay I could’ve got by staying in a resort 2 doors down.
I was also disappointed that the beach terrace was closed for the duration of my stay. They said maintenance was working to fix it but I never saw anyone working. I was really hoping to sit on those hammocks over the ocean.
The WiFi also cut out every day and I needed to get a new passcode 4 times throughout my stay. Not great for remote workers.
Although; staff were friendly, food delicious, and great nightlife vibes in the heart of Chaweng Beach. Definitely would stay again… but not until that construction is complete.
Excellent

Hotel is conveniently located with easy access to everything in the centre of Chaweng. Rooms are in good condition, even towels were new and pure white. AC worked perfectly. Normal water pressure. With the window facing the lake I did not hear the noise from Samui Central mall, where they have live performances of musical bands. Staff was nice & cooperative.

The hotel , like many , is no longer a new Thai troika : a little scratched interior, a mediocre cleaning (blacked balcony door, shower cabin); rather scarce and uniform breakfast (which is not very typical); Problems with hot water (it is just warm, it was only a few times hot). 90% of the guests are tourists from Russia. In addition, the spacious rooms, no deposit, friendly staff, convenient location (to the center in a hurry step of 15-20), a warm pool with clean water. The problem with beach towels, judging by previous reviews, decided : now their sufficient number and they are new (on the labels is the date of issue 01.20). Baik rented near the hotel, left a deposit of 100 dollars. No problem with return. If you are swimming in Chavenge, I would recommend going to the beach not through the nearby hotel, but through the main entrance (out of the hotel and left 300 meters). But on the beach (in February) there were tangible waves and a little pulled into the sea. Therefore, with children, I think, it is better to consider another area. Also, if you don 't want to rent a bike, between the beaches are riding songeo (as I realized, before sunset as public transport, after sunset as taxi), once went to the beach of Boput, gave for two 140 bucks.

The Mercure Samui, is hands down one of the most spectacularly positioned hotels on the beautiful Chaweng beach. At just one year old it is also the most beautifully landscaped and furnished of the many hotels we have been so lucky to stay during our travels. The team who maintain and care for the hotel and clearly understand the importance of guest services is outstanding. From the wonderful management of Nat and Nina, to their beautiful staff of whom there are too many to mention and the amazing reception team of, Sira, Bella, B and Daris, there was nothing that they didn’t do to make our stay as perfect as possible. We wish we could name them all. Everyone was wonderful! We had planned a seven day stop over here on Koh Samui as we came to the end of two months travelling in Europe. We chose the Mercure and Koh Samui on a whim as hopefully a restful place to unwind. We couldn’t have asked for more! We only wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfast each morning was a buffet with a chef station for selecting items that could be made on request. The restaurant team at meal times and at breakfast was cognisant of my wife’s gluten intolerance and catered for her with excellent alternatives. They were brilliant! We had not considered a return to Koh Samui before our arrival but all that has now changed. We will indeed return to the Mercure for the pure joy this wonderful hotel provided us during our stay. The beach is one of the cleanest and calmest of the beaches we have visited in Asia. Travel too and from the Samui Central mall or down to Lamai is inexpensive and extremely well serviced by small buses that pass by the hotel at least every five minutes and cost just 100 THB. The rooms are beautifully furnished as you would expect from such a new hotel. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. A fabulous shower! We stayed in pool access room, 2005. It was a real treat to be able to walk into the beautifully clean and well appointed pool whenever we felt the need for a refresh. Access to the pool and the beach was easy from all rooms with plenty of shady deck chairs available. The three bars, on the beach, in the pool, on the rooftop of the restaurant, offered happy hour times that varied between venues. As you can see from this review, we loved the Mercure on Koh Samui. We are already planning a return visit!

Traveling on the island of Samui in Thailand, they stayed at Samui First House 3* on the beach of Chaveng Noi, on the eastern side of the island in March 2020. The hotel is a three-star hotel, old, no territory but wins everything because of the location! On the first line at the beginning of the beach. Always enough chedrons with umbrellas Just opposite in the water there are huge walnuts that play the role of the waves. The poet swim is very comfortable. Beside them you can take snorkeling, look at fish. The beach is big. It is nice to walk along the sand along the sea. The sea is warm, transparent turquoise water. Living in a deluxe on the second floor with a view to the sea. The room is good, there is everything you need, even an extra bed. The bathroom is a shower bath. There is a swimming pool. The restaurant serves a Swedish table for breakfast, Choice is small but you will not stay hungry. There is infrastructure near the hotel. Cafe, Family Mart, spa salons. To the center of Chavenga you can leave on a tuck-tuck for 20 b. A small hotel with the best location. Nearby are 4.5* hotels that are not different. Why overpay? I recommend it to everyone.

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

Amazing hotel. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Champagne and fresh juice as much as you wanted. I got a lobster roll and eggs Benedict. Amazing! Hotel room couldn’t of been better! The jacuzzi bath perfection. Hotel couldn’t do any more. We even bought the robe and flip flops they were that comfy. Overall the hotel was lush. Would 10000% stay again. The pools and beach were so quiet which was fantastic.
Centara Life Samui have renovated an existing building and added new areas as well. They opened Aug 18. We found there were a few 'teething' issues but still enjoyed our stay. Staff are so friendly, nothing was a problem. Breakfast selection was good however, more Asian inspired and not as good as others we've stayed at but I'm sure this will improve with time. Nate and May looked after us very well. Cleaning staff were so friendly and happy also. Ladies in reception did everything possible to improve our stay contacting maintenance and technician as soon as we spoke to them, issues were fixed immediately. We booked direct using Centara1 card (15% off, joining free) but also had opening special as well. I hope we can get similar prices next year! We have stayed with Centara in Chang Mai and Kata Beach, they are all very good resorts. Centara Life may get a little overcrowded this time next year(I hope not), they only have 1 pool, you have to walk to beach but there is a building underway on the beach for Centara Life customers.

GGuest UserI read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i
YYUANThe hotel is very refined, 14 rooms, very quiet, and really facing the sea, and the breakfast is very good, breakfast until 10 o'clock, the hotel everyone is polite and feels very warm! The only bad thing is that the hotel brother and I played three billiards, winning me a black ball every time, I don’t know how to put water... I will go back and practice, and I will get back the next time!
GGuest UserThe staff at Dara Samui make a good hotel great! The location is super walkable and the Northern Thai design style is relaxing and beautiful. The beach is lovely although it is often just a meter or so of sand when the tide is high. Breakfast was good and the selection varied each day. I enjoyed the bath tub and the sun loungers for relaxation. The only thing that needs improving are the beds. They need to be upgraded to ensure a comfortable nights sleep for guests.
GGuest UserThe Conrad Koh Samui was hailed by many netizens as one of the crown jewels in Hilton's Asia Pacific hotel portfolio and having experienced it, I would proudly say the same too. I would even rate this as the best hotel experience I've had in recent years with full marks given to the hospitality of the staff, amazing views and great rooms. My wife and I had the best time during our 3D2N recent trip to Conrad Koh Samui where we booked a villa for 2 pax. The hotel is situated at an amazing location with legendary views of the sea and sunset from your own villa, which has a private infinity pool for us to lounge around. Despite it's age, the villa is maintained in a great condition and recent refurbishments which I understood took place during the COVID19 years further enhanced our experience of staying at the Conrad Koh Samui. Most of all, what made our stay so great was the hospitality of the staff on site. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to Jack Huang (Assistant Guest Relations Manager), who reached out to us via email prior to our arrival and kept in touch with us via whatsapp (almost on a 24 hrs basis) to ensure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. He made my wife and I feel welcomed from the first minute we stepped onto the resort, addressing us by our names each time he sees us, making us feel like we are old friends of his. Even after we have left, he made arrangements to mail us an item which we left behind at the hotel despite his busy schedule. We are highly appreciative of him and his team for taking such good care of us during our stay and their hospitality is definitely one of the reasons why our stay is highly memorable! If you are looking for a place to unwind, I would definitely recommend staying a few days at the Conrad Koh Samui!
GGuest UserVery good location. Beach and water clean with a lot of fish. Always available sun beds at the Beach and at the pools. Breakfast is very good. Like all the fresh fruit.
We would like to come back.
GGuest Userexcellent !!!! could not find anything less than that (and i can easily find usually) rooms, facilities, stuff, location - Excellent special thanks to amazing Pam in reception that was super friendly, welcoming, professional, smart and interesting i want to thank you in person for your hospitality and welcome i wish every place could have given me such a perfect welcoming experience Thanks !!!
GGuest UserUpon arrival we were awe struck with the organic beauty of the island which we were about to stay on.. After a short boat ride we had arrived in paradise and welcomed with warm smiles and refreshments. We were Taken to our room on our golf buggy (no motorised vechiles on the island yay). Our spacious waterfront room topped off with an infinity pool looked out over the Gulf of Thailand and was immaculately clean and serviced daily by up to 3 housekeepers at a time. We dined at Both Hue restaurant (our favourite) and also Long Dtai Both displaying fresh produce daily, some items unavailable from day to day which suited us as we knew it was all fresh 👍 The Staff Led by Urs (GM) and Patzy (Restaurant manager) were all friendly and attentive. The Day Spa exceeded our expectations with numerous treatments available to ensure you remain relaxed on your holiday Ignore the bad reviews on here about this property The place is amazing without fault!! We will be back ✌️
冰冰点蓝是我Advantages: French pastoral decoration style deep my heart The room facing the sea Pull the door directly to the sea The kind of unsatisfactory! The hotel waiter is also very enthusiastic. Especially recommend his restaurant. The chef is afraid that it will not be Michelin level. Even if you don't go out to the hotel, you won't be tired. Haha, and the toiletries in his home taste very advanced. Porridge, because we booked a suite more spacious when booking. Waiting for 2 adults and 1 child to stay, they put an extra 1.2 single bed next to the big bed. If it is a normal room, he said that it is not good for an extra bed.
Disadvantages: The drinking water provided by the hotel has a salty smell. It is not used to drinking. It is all 711 to buy water. The hotel has no parking lot. It is not good to park.
Ideal location Super friendly staff who helped us on where to eat ! The room was clean however the bathroom shower leaked . The beach is very close by walking distance. If you are interested in hiring a motorcycle then the hotel will be able to sort it for you which is really helpful.
GGuest UserThe location is great. Lovely pool with bar. Lots of greenery, gardens. There is not enough light in the rooms. Breakfast needs better. At the reception you can rent a bike or order a taxi.
