Dark lobby, old upholstery and a hectic reception, that's how our stay at the Impiana started.
The reception concept continued all the way to the room. Before we saw it for the first time, we first walked through dark corridors. A parking garage has more charm.
We then entered our deluxe room, which is one of the better rooms in the hotel, but not only the hotel, but also the room has seen its best days. Old, very worn furniture gave it a retro charm that was once popular in the 80s. The bed was a disaster. It was so hard that we felt like we were lying on a board. The street noise at night is unbearable and caused sleepless nights.
The beach is beautiful and the beach restaurant and bar were also presented by friendly hotel employees.
We were horrified and frightened by the older woman at the reception. We wanted to book a taxi for 5 a.m. the day before our return flight. The woman at the reception told us that the airport would still be closed and we would be standing in front of locked doors, and that the taxi driver would just drive away and leave us standing there in the dark. We should take the hotel taxi at 5:30am. Why does the woman at the reception scare her guests so much? Why these lies? Luckily, this is our 10th time on Samui and we know when the airport opens and that the airport doesn't have any doors. A very unpleasant situation with this rude and unprofessional person. Not only the reception, but also the farewell was a disaster. We won't be coming back and won't recommend it to anyone.
