One night and to escape….the pearl but not luxury… The context: we had booked with our local agency 8 nights at the luxury perle boutique hotel, a so-called family room “side sea view” with private swimming pool, like all the bungalows theoretically of this hotel, according to their website and according to the well-known reservation sites that I will not name. The photos on the website actually showed a sea view and above all a real private swimming pool in front of the room. The welcome in this establishment was made for us by having to “climb the dog” lying on the carpet at the entrance of a restaurant because the welcome is in the restaurant which is also a bar. Welcome with a person who has a notepad and a pencil in front of them, who takes your passports to make a copy and who explains to you by writing on their notepad that breakfast is open from such and such an hour. Transfer to the room by crossing a road and entering the so-called "tropical" garden on the site, made up in fact of flower pots and not a garden in the end, passage under 3 air conditioners which drip water on you and arriving at the back of the room in front of the door. Already at this level there is a nauseating smell of rising sewers. Entering the room in which it was over 30 degrees because the air conditioning was not turned on before the guests arrived. Visit the room and the side sea view is in fact “reception restaurant” view to see the sea from the side, think about getting on a chair and craning your neck…then the notion of a private swimming pool is exceptional in this establishment… it's actually a swimming pool shared between 3 rooms, 3 sections separated by barriers between them! You can even swim with your neighbor by passing under the barrier because it is above the water level, it even has a door to facilitate maintenance or to be able to pass to your neighbors. We are starting to say that it does not correspond to the description on the site and in the blink of an eye the person who accompanied us to the room disappears! I go to the restaurant and meet a gentleman who introduces himself as the owner of the establishment but not the manager, he is French which theoretically facilitates our verbal interview. He explains that the side sea view is indeed this one, you will see for yourself in the attached photo taken in his presence... The swimming pool is certainly shared but it is recent and this was at the request of several customers according to his words. The photo he explains was taken “at the moment”, thanks Photoshop…and he has no other rooms to offer us. He also explains to us that for the sake of swimming pool pumps, he could not install several and that a single pump for 3 bedrooms is simpler. Likewise, the air conditioning only works if your key is properly engaged in the general switch of the room as in many establishments but they do not
