Koh Samet Hotels with Airport pickup service

I'm a professional travel agent and travel expert. I inspect hotel throughout Asia for 6 months already. Big hotel chains has hosted me for a reviews in media in my country. Bofore leaving Thailand I decided to spend some time on a beautiful beach Ao Cho of Samet Island. That's the most beautiful beach here with clear cristal waters and white sand. The resort itself is very old, Iean The Grand View Ao Cho redort which manages Tropical Samet Resort. And Tropical Samet Resort is a newly built part of it. The construction looks very good, but only looks. It is very bad done in details. I stay on a standard room on th second floor. Good bed, no furniture at all. No table, no any chair. So you will not be able to work eith your notebook for some time if you need. The shower is only the wall shower. So when you walk in from the beach you can not only just wash your legs off the sand, you gonna need take your all body shower. It's very inconvenient. For ladies especially, there is only one mirror in the bath room and there is no light to see your face appropriately. So, forget about making a good makeup. There's no safebox in the room. Pay attention to it! You will have to take all your valuables and belongins with you always! No any special place to allicate your luggage. No shelves. The good thing is that you sleep in a new bed. And the room is fresh. But it will be downgraded quickly because the quality of works is so poor. The locker in the door is electronic but it is shacking like it is broken. The restaurant of the resort is very expensive. And the service is very slow and bad. Today I had a dinner. There were only two tables occupied. I waited for my club sandwich for 30 mins. I also ordered hot latte and tgey brought me cappuccino. Ok, I decided to check and ordered latte again. Same. They brought me cappuccino, bitter cappuccino again. Although the restaurant has wide variety of coffee in the menu. And it's definitely supposed to understand the difference between latte and cappuccino. I waited for another cup of coffee 10 mins)) What could be easier to push the button in the coffee machine)) Also how come to mix ketchup and maionese? The chef, where are you from? Are you from far resorted village from the mountains in Thailand? For those travellers who wish to stay here and enjoy the best beach, the hotel is still in shape noting the fact that even bad bad resorts on the island are all full because of high demand now, I advise you to eat in a small cafe like a rasta-bar on the beach. The service is very quick, very delicious, even soups and 2 times cheaper then in the hotel restaurant. Have a safe and enjoyable travel.

The hotel has a nice and private location, although the beach is not very large. The rooms are large and have a good bathroom. The weak sides of the hotel are the high prices in the restaurant relative to comparable places in Koh Samet and the service quality of the personell at the reception and in the restaurant. It appears that they need more training. Example: at the outside buffet, the little butter plastic containers are on a plate without any cooling device (e.g., ice cubes) as of 6:30 and, moreover, placed right next to the continously running toaster, which makes the butter extremely soft. A few ice cubes and a different position would improve this so much.

We stayed for 3 nights as a walk-in paying just over 1000THB per night on a holiday weekend. (Budget rooms available for 800THB). Our room was large, with a nice balcony looking onto the gardens, Good air con and a big wetroom bathroom with warm water shower. The bed was large and comfortable with crisp, freshly laundered sheets. The whole place is spotlessly clean- the friendly girl who runs the place does an excellent job, she’s always buzzing around, cleaning and sweeping. The hotel is around 3 mins walk to a lovely white sand beach along a quiet path. You’re not on the beachfront but getting there is still a ‘shoes off’ experience and you’re paying half the price you will for a beachfront hotel. It was a holiday weekend when we stayed with lots of Thai party goers hitting the karaoke hard which sounded like cats being tortured. We were thankful to be further away from the bars and restaurants and had quiet nights here. Wong Deuan beach is lovely but there is less infrastructure here than at Sai Kaew village and consequently prices at bars and restaurants are higher. We tended to walk over to the next bay Ao Cho where there are a couple of slightly cheaper reggae bars. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the beaches and would fully recommend Bell House as a place to stay.

Returned to Koh Samed again two years since Covid pandemic.The island resorts and businesses have been totally decimated by Covid.I stayed Vongduean beach and apart from a few Thais there was absolutely nobody there.I felt so sorry for the locals as they’ve had hardly any business for two years. On previous visits I’ve stayed in the beach bungalows but over BT3000 a night I stayed in the newer block of rooms overlooking the pool.Surprised they’ve kept the same prices as most hotels seem to be about 50% cheaper than normal due to lack of customers. The beach and the sea are wonderful with crisp white sand and azure coloured clear sea. As the resort is very quiet there we’re just a few staff.Breakfast is the usual egg station,fruit,bacon,sausage,Thai porridge plus tea and coffee set overlooking the sea. It’s a fantastic place for couples or family holidays but in my opinion the prices are far to high at present. NB To gain access to ferry/speedboat crossing to Koh Samed a negative Antigen test is required which you will be taken by side car from ferry port to local clinic takes about 20 minutes before you’re allowed to cross to Koh Samed. Overall beautiful island an hours taxi ride from Pattaya but rooms far too expensive.

I have a place to stay. @tongtaphaview samed resort Koh Samet, Rayong Province, near Bangkok. I will tell you from the way to get there. We drive to Rayong, Ban Phe Sub-district, from Bangkok-Rayong, about 3-4 hours. Leave a car at the pier for 60 ฿ per day. Go for a boat ride at Nuanthip Pier. Normal boat round trip 140/person (30-40 minutes). , Speed ​​Boat round-trip 300/person (10-20 minutes). Upon arrival, there will be an entrance fee of 40 ฿ per person for the national park (just started collecting during the COVID period) and a minibus ride to the accommodation for another 50 ฿ per person. Although there are tricycle drivers to help lift things We walked a little bit to the accommodation. Upon arriving at the accommodation, the staff brought the welcome drink to serve (I'm very impressed here. The service is very good) The atmosphere of the accommodation is very good. My wife adores fresh seafood and ordered fresh shrimp and fresh squid that was listed as price by weight. When we got the very small plates of ”fresh seafood” the shrimp had been mashed up covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried until hard and the squid stir fried in garlic. These are 100b street food dishes at best The tiny plates were devoured in seconds, it was barely an appetiser. When the bill arrived we had been charged the full price for 1kg despite only having a miniscule portion. Then we were told after the event, even though the menu clearly said price by weight, that this was a mistake and it was price per plate. Be careful here, it's a beautiful location but the prices are ridiculously expensive and aimed at unsuspecting tourists. It's the most expensive squid I've had in over 10 years living in Thailand and there's much better value to be had next door

The view is very beautiful, there are many activities to do. Clean food, variety of good tastes, there is a boat to paddle, there is a board to take cool photos. The water is clear, very pleasant to play, the lights are free, there is a mini bar, swimming pool, the wind passes all the time, the weather is very good. Not so hot Recommend to come
