We had a pleasant stay here and the weather was good to us. The location is lovely right on the beach. The sea slightly too warm for me and the was reflected in algae in the water in some places but this is a shallow reef so to be expected. There is no staff on hand at night which shouldn’t be a problem but we did have issues with a bunch of people partying until 3:30 am with no one to police it. The restaurant staff were lovely but not as attentive as we would have liked. Despite these minor issues I would recommend this property if you are looking at staying in this area of the island.

Finger weg!!! Unsere Zimmer wurden Wochen nachdem wir gebucht haben wegen angeblicher Überbuchung storniert. Auf Nachrichten dass Zimmer aber noch zum buchen gibt kommt Tagelang keine Rückmeldung. Einfach schlecht…. Jetzt können wir als Familie kurz vor unserer Reise win neues Resort suchen.

Great resort right on the beautiful Haad Yao beach! Joe & his team made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble! The restaurant was particularly well run! Clean functional room with good amenities. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Heerlijke bedden, supervriendelijk personeel, ook in het restaurant. Heerlijk gegeten, niets is teveel. We kregen zelfs nog heerlijke muffins mee voor onderweg. Helaas was de waterstand de 1e paar dagen erg laag en het zeewater lauw, maar hier kan het personeel niets aan doen. Gratis gebruik van kano en sup voor gasten van Amara. Erg schoon en handdoeken service ook voor de zee. Bedjes waren er niet veel, maar genoeg. We hebben er iedere dag gebruik van kunnen maken. Zwembad weinig gebruikt. Soms 's avonds even een duik.

What a gem of a place! I had an amazing stay at the lovely Amara Beach Resort in Haad Yao, Koh Phangan. I enjoyed it so much that I extended and extended my stay, not wanting to go anywhere else. I will begin by mentioning the very lovely, friendly, helpful and attentive staff, who made my stay so pleasant and welcoming. From the wonderful manager Michaela to reception, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, restaurant and kitchen staff, I really felt so well looked after by all. I love, love, love the beachfront location on this very beautiful beach, as well as being so close to a shop, laundry and a variety of food options. There is also a great onsite restaurant and the fantastic buffet breakfast is a real highlight. The rooms are extremely clean, spacious and comfortable, with all amenities and services you may need (fridge, mini bar, kettle, great air con, excellent WiFi, warm shower, safety box, terrace/balcony, daily housekeeping). The beds deserve a special mention, because they really are so very comfy! You can also easily arrange taxi transfers and fantastic tours and day trips through reception. The pool and grounds are maintained really well and there is a very lovely atmosphere and feeling being here. I always felt so very safe, easeful, comfortable and cared for. I am truly grateful for my stay at Amara and I would absolutely wish to return again in the future.

Excellent place! Cannot fault the staff or food! Absolutely delicious food, and the service was impeccable. Coco was especially great :) definitely pay this place a visit if you are in Koh Phangnan. Our friends also stayed here and loved every second. We visited every night and every night it did not disappoint.
