Love our stay here, very relaxed and chilled vibe with background music all day. We got a free upgrade to a sea view bungalow which was lovely! The pool isn’t huge but wasn’t an issue as you are right on the beach front. Each bungalow has a little tray of water on the steps to wash the sand off before going in your room which was a nice touch. Room was comfortable, good A/C with mosquito net. Wasn’t a huge choice of places to eat within walking distance but there’s a night food market 5 mins walk away with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Food was great! Would defo stay again!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Summer Luxury resort. The rooms are really spacious and the resort is pretty with a nice pool and a sea view from the restaurant. We went in December and I believe there is a high tide at this time so there was no beach, but this didn’t really bother us as we didn’t have great weather anyway during our stay. The downside of this hotel is the location, there is a dirt track to get to the hotel which I personally wouldn’t feel too comfortable walking down at night. We hired a car as we found that there wasn’t many restaurants / things to do within walking distance. Having said that, the restaurant at the hotel is really nice, we enjoyed the food and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was also really good too. The reception staff were also friendly, I didn’t get his name but one man in particular made our stay with his welcoming and warm attitude, and willingness to help us with any queries/trips we wanted to book etc! Another member of staff at the poolside bar was very friendly and attentive too. Unfortunately the cooking class wasn’t open due to maintenance during our stay which was a shame as we had rain most days and found ourselves looking for things to do. The spa was also closed for maintenance on one of the days. Overall, the hotel is nice, and I would definitely recommend if you’re not too bothered about hiring a car/scooter to get around.

Stayed here for 3 days, think it's family run lodge. The hotel room key was really a key, a big one. The door creaked when opening but overall the room was nice, amenities was good. When requested for a kettle, the kind old lady provided me very fast....very nice. Pity did not make use of the swimming pool as it was hot for 2 of the days there. A short walk to a food court nearby, Thongsala Square (where the race start)...and the Walking Street where they had a nice night bazaar on Saturday, pity it rained halfway. Also a short walk to Phantip Market area. But definitely need taxi to the site of Full Moon Party lol Yes, also had a lot of tour agencies just outside the hotel. And laundry services, I did mine at a cheap 80 baht...and it came back ironed and with a nice fragance ...Highly recommended. (ok, they do have some self service laundry too at 30 bht per kg??? but definitely not ironed??)

Grab a coffee, this could take a while. Bed sheets were filthy and smelt like an old dogs bed. TV was an old tube type that couldn’t get channels (although brochure said flat screen with cable) The toilet was constantly blocked. In 7 nights (our length of stay) our room was cleaned once. So no drinking water. No toilet roll. No fresh towels. Our booking consisted of breakfast, but once was enough, only had half of what we requested and the staff were rude, so we ate in a bar up the road instead. The electric kept going off so no air con. They did agree to fix it but not until the following day! No hot water. Then we discovered the new villas behind the bar area, which is what we had in fact booked. We insisted we be moved which the staff agreed to, begrudgingly!! We get to our new room where there was in fact a flat screen TV but no aerial so unless you have your own subscriptions you are stuck with sky news! Bed smelt better but we woke up to an army of ants!! Location is perfect. That is the only positive I can give!! Extremely disappointed! I travel for a month around Asia every year, this is our 4th hotel this year and by far the worst I have ever stayed in. That includes the others I’ve stayed in over the years!! Booking.com should take some responsibility for misleading information!!!

Had a great time staying in this hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. They gave me a discount on my room when i decided to stay extra day for the full moon party. Andy(i'm not sure if i remember it correctly) is very helpful in suggesting places to visit. He even treat us some beer. For breakfast they only have ala carte and food vouchers for those who will buy breakfast with the room. The room is huge, simple and the location of the aircon is perfect not facing the bed directly. I had a problem with the safe even when I entered the code correctly it wont open and the front officer helped me open it. My biggest problem in my stay is the amount of mosquitoes in the room. I had many mosquitoes bite and it was very itchy. I wished they had something in the room to kill the mosquitoes because even if i keep on asking them to spray my room there are still some mosquitoes left.

Beck’s reminded me of an old-fashioned holiday camp. The cabin I stayed in was a bit jaded and could have done with a good, deep cleaning, but the bed was comfortable and the shower and air-conditioner worked well. The garden is beautiful, and I enjoyed sitting on my balcony listening to the birds. I didn’t try the pool, but when the tide is in, it’s lovely to swim in the sea. The location is convenient; it’s an easy 1 km walk into Thong Sala. I would certainly stay here again

This resort is simply wonderful! It’s not too big so it feels cosy and comfortable. Every room faces the pool or beach. The beach, restaurant, pool, massage, everything is very close by. The only thing I would say that was not ideal is that the shower is only a rain shower, which is hard for little kids and babies. In the room they have thoughtful little details such as flip flops, beach bag you can use during your stay, also gave mosquito repellent. But the best part is the outstanding service, every staff was so friendly and accommodating and efficient. At night it’s relaxing and convenient to take a table right on the beach and often they have entertainment like fire show or saxophone. Very grateful for the 3 days we enjoyed here. Definitely recommend to visit.

This is my third time staying at Samui mermaid. Can not fault this resort, it’s just what I need to recharge my soul before flying home. I stayed the deluxe side with its own pool and it’s worth spending the extra pennies if you enjoy having a pool all to yourself 😊 Stay are lovely as always, location is brilliant, views are amazing. All n all if you want somewhere to chill out, relax and recharge your soul before flying home then this is the place to stay! I will definitely be coming back again x

What an incredible place! Stunningly beautiful. We had a room overlooking the hills not the sea which was initially disappointing but had the most incredible sunset view. The restaurant closes at 8 which we did not know and just got in time, luckily as there is no where in walking distance. My partner has travelled Asia extensively and says best green curry ever! On checking in ( around 2.15) told that the room was not ready until 3 which meant hanging around. We discussed a later check out the following day to recoup the hour which was agreed. On check out we where met with sarcasm by the man on reception and it was made difficult to get a taxi or transfer a we had ‘checked out late’?? This did mar my experience as I was faced with an intimidating passive aggressive member of staff.

Хороший отель в тихой бухте. Пляж идеально подойдет для семей с детьми. 7/11 нет, но есть несколько минимаркетов в пешей доступности. Кафе на пляже тоже достойные. Во второй половине дня сильные отливы. Бассейн работает допоздна. Завтраки скудноватые - рис, лапша, яйца, хлопья, йогурты, фрукты, овощи, десерты; голодными не останетесь, но нам не хватало сыра, ветчины, чего-то мясного к тому же салату или омлету. Кофе только растворимый. Были тут неделю, уборку надо заказывать, воду приносили каждый день. Бунгало 504 в хорошем состоянии, без плесени, сколов на сантехнике. В целом рекомендую отель как простое достойное жилье в тихом месте

IInna777The hotel is located a little far from civilization. You need to be prepared for this. The nearest 7 eleven is a 20 minute walk. This was not a problem for us. We stayed for 2 days and spent them entirely at the hotel. I didn't want to go out anywhere. At first glance, everything seems a little outdated, but the area has such a cool, relaxing atmosphere that after 5 minutes you forget about it. We lived in a wonderful Villa with a pool and sunset views right from the balcony. Breakfast and dinner were included. The food was divine. The staff is very attentive. Everyone knows what villa you live in, what kind of coffee you like, etc. It was very surprising. The hotel has a beautiful beach - although in the afternoon, because... in the first half, due to the tide, the beach goes under water. But in the afternoon it opens and it’s very cool to walk there. The places are very picturesque.

TThomas_The room is clean and nicely decorated in a nature theme, especially the bathroom with the stone floor and walls. The beach area of the hotel is a little bit small compared to the neighboring hotels but still good. But what convinced me most of all is the service. The hotel staff is super nice and very helpful with everything you need. The hotel area is pretty big so there is a cart service that can pick you up at your hotel room and drive you out to the entrance (or beach, pool, …). Very convenient because the street with all the restaurants is right outside the entrance (and a 7-eleven right across the entrance). So all in all a very pleasant experience and i would definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserWe were here for 4 nights as a couple. Basically we liked our stay very much, but we can not recommend the small bungalows. We stayed in the cheapest bungalow and it was so small that you could not even place the open suitcase. In addition, windows and doors were not tight, so we had many mosquitoes in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was also right above our heads, so we both caught colds. When using the shower, the whole bathroom floods because the drain is at the other end of the room. Also, there are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. But otherwise the room was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. We especially liked the hotel grounds. It is really in the middle of the beach, there is soft sand everywhere and the restaurant is also right at the water. There is also a pool table and a ping pong table, both of which we used very often. Special praise must be given to the helpful, friendly hotel staff, who were always eager to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. When we arrived the first evening, our window would not close. There were some communication difficulties with the ladies at the reception because they really didn't understand a word of English. In the following days, however, all the ladies at the reception could speak perfect English, which made communication much easier. Nevertheless, the ladies gave us a new room for one night, which was a great relief. Right next to the hotel is a scooter rental. We rented a scooter here, which was really uncomplicated and cheap. In the area there is very cheap and delicious street food, for example at ”Mama Thai Food” or ”Life Style” with super nice owners. The breakfast in the hotel is delicious and there is a choice of several dishes. However, it is ”a la carte” and you can only order one dish. The portion is a bit small for a grown man, so you would actually have to order 2-3 dishes to get full. Even the most expensive breakfast ”Milky Bay Breakfast” includes only 2 slices of toast, 2 fried eggs, a few mushrooms, 2 slices of tomato and a single piece of bacon (?!). Fortunately, free fruit (pineapple or watermelon) is always offered as well, which helps you get a little fuller. Conclusion: if I had to rate our room exclusively, I would only give the resort 2 out of 5 stars. I've slept in beachfront bungalows in Thailand that cost between 10€-20€ per night and were more comfortable and modern than our bungalow (50€ per night). However, due to the fantastic service, the great facility and the nice staff I give 4 out of 5 stars and the following advice: Don't book the smallest, cheapest bungalow! We saw the better rooms from the outside and they looked really big and modern. If we had stayed in such a room, I would have definitely given 5 out of 5 stars!

We landed too late and there was already no boat to Koh Phangan (last boat leaves at 16.30) so we had to check in one day later and even if that was our fault not being able to get to the island , the lady in reception told us they have upgraded our room for Deluxe for free. So that was lovely surprise and it just kept carry on. The room had a bath on balcony , another bath and shower . All clean and very comfortable ! The restaurant area is just stunning ! The best sea view and the most romantic sunsets from here and I’m not even talking about the food - just amazing and tasty. The staff were speaking very good English and were more than helpful. This place is just perfect and I couldn’t fault it in any way !

MMartinOverall the hotel was nice but in several point not what we expected: We booked a „villa with sea view“. There was no sea view at the villa that was assigned to us. You couldn’t see the sea neither from within the villa nor from the pool nor from the sun beds nor from the outside bath tub. The only way to see a glimpse of the sea was to stand up on a certain spot on the terrace. That’s not what we expected from a room advertised as „with sea view“ and the (trip.com) booking page also suggested otherwise. When we complained, we got assigned another villa where we could see the sea partly. Thank you for that. However, the manager told us that the photos from the booking page were in fact another villa. But it's not my responsibility to make sure that the photos and pictures provided on booking pages are correct. The hotel has to take care of that! This holds also true for the next issue: The gym was closed due to renovation. In the booking process, they advertised a huge fitness center with lots of machines. Now it’s shut down and we did not get any information about this. The „mini gym“, which does not even have at least one multi exercise machine, is nothing but a bad joke and no replacement at all for a proper gym! Again the staff told us they would inform about this on their website. When I checked that, I still found the photos of the large gym on their own website. It was just called ”mini gym”. But how am I supposed to know what they mean by that and that the provided photos are no longer correct??

GGuest UserThe owner from Manchester are such lovely people. They offer daily trips for their guests so nobody will feel lonely while staying at this place. The employees are always friendly and it is really different than other places. You feel like coming home. The vibes are amazing ! I don’t really care about internet connections, because I remember Phangan when there was no 24/7 stores and nobody had mobile phones and there was no internet available.
A warm welcome place to connect to other people easily. And again: the vibes are really amazing !!! Both thumbs up. P.S.: I don’t recommend the dorm room, but for students and young people who don’t have big budgets it is cool that this way of accommodation still exist.

I would have liked a kettle in there but there is a great Italian coffee shop opposite the hotel so it’s no problem.

SsamrichardsnFantastic value for money for accommodation right on the beach. Each individual 'bungalow' is no more than 100m from the beach and they are all angled to give privacy from the rest of the hotel guests. Beach is stunning with good levels of privacy, and the sea is lovely. If you don't fancy swimming in the sea then there is also a swimming pool right on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the location was excellent, with the centre of town being only a 10-minute stroll away. If you are interested in hiring mopeds then the staff at the hotel have a contact that we used (cheap prices, ฿150 a day). Would definitely return!

GGuest UserFirstly the hotel was nice and clean however the staff were very rude. Upon arriving we were told we had 2 bottles of water a day, then on our last day we were denied water (you had to get everything yourself from reception as they did not have anyone clean the rooms daily) we rented a bike but it cut out just outside the hotel going up a very steep hill, we took the bike back straight away and we’re completely ignoredat reception, they made us stand there for ages until my boyfriend had to ask a different person for his passport back. Later we saw 2 other people with the same bike. My boyfriends t-shirt was stolen at the pool. The location was awful there was nothing to do, you had to drive through steep jungle roads to get anywhere. The hotel is right next to the full moon party so I think it would be a decent place to stay to go there, if not don’t bother

Ggk123I'd only recommend staying here if you're attending the full moon party. It's got great access to the beach. The bungalows are small and very dark. The rooms get very hot in the night but there's a loud, but working, AC unit to keep it cool.
This is really the definition of a place where you do a budget stay (unfortunately for us was the most expensive night we've had in Thailand because of full moon prices). The hotel room has a small table by the door, no bedside lamps or anything.
Be careful when swimming in the sea, there can be sea lice which make it a rather stinging experience 😂😁
