Santa Maria Hostel Fort Kochi

My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this hostel where we met very welcoming people. The room had a nice view, breakfast is local good food. It's close to Fort Kochi main attractions and has good common areas. I really enjoyed it!

We were two families traveling together. When we called up Santa Maria, Nikhil suggested that we take an apartment just adjacent to the Santa Maria Hostel. Pros.. Location was the best part. The main places were all just a walk away. The apartment was good. It was a 3BHK. It had a huge balcony and a good kitchen too. The staff were very friendly and just a call away.. Special thanks to Nikhil.. Cons.. The locks of the bathrooms weren't working. The blankets weren't washed. Otherwise we had a good time.. Thanks for making our stay comfortable.

The hostel has a great location. Our room was clean and tidy. We spent there three days. Nice staff. They helped us to organize transfer from the airport and advised about exploring the surroundings of Kochi. I highly recommend this hostel 👌

Thanks for a great stay. Pros: - Very friendly and welcoming staff - Excellent location in the center - Clean toilets and showers - Comfortable beds - they had a smoke room - Roof Top and Downside Common Area is so fun to seat and just meet people. Cons: - Mosquitoes in Common Areas . - Common Bathroom in ground floor :( -the kitchen was closed in the morning PS: I read some negative reviews about the place and but honestly after staying I would say they are far better then the average hostel , i got to know from the hostel staffs that hostel was run down due to Covid and Now they improved the place by doing maintenance ,repainting and deep cleaning.

The hostel is not what it looks like in the pictures. The property is very run down, and dirty. The nights sleep is not good as we were disturbed by mosquitoes all night and covered in bites, there were cockroaches running around in the room and the bathroom. The room was full of damp and had no hot water. It got to the point of discomfort we left a day early to go to a hotel. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The only good thing about the hostel is the location as it is central and the staff which are very friendly.
