We booked 4 nights from July 11 to July 15, 2024.
Only good attribute of facility is the pool area and surrounding grounds. The staff is nice but they do NOT provide the service expected of a 5 star luxury hotel.
We were extremely disappointed in spending a lot of money to stay at a 5 star and we received at best, a 3 star experience. We cannot provide a good review of your hotel for the following reasons:
1. Terrible service where it would take 30-45 min for a drink and yet for an all inclusive stay, they charged us for a couple of smoothies we ordered while waiting for our taxi to the airport because we ordered them 1hr after "official checkout". It's embarrassing and classless to behave this way in my opinion.
Room had half used toiletries when we first checked in, missing furniture. Didn't respond to our concerns immediately.
Food is the same every single meal - has limited taste and appeal.
I place the blame 100% on management for the above noted issues as the staff has not been trained on what 5 star service means.

Das Resort hat eine Traumhafte Lage und die Anlage selber ist wunderschön. Wir hatten das "Garden Jungle" Zimmer und können dies auch empfehlen. Sauberkeit im Zimmer ist einwandfrei. Warum nur 3/5 Sternen? Das Zimmer selber und die Anlage sind top. Der Rest hat leider "Luft nach oben". - Liegen am Pool oder am Strand sind leider stark verdreckt (Vogelkot etc.) - Das Frühstück ist leider echt nicht gut. Extrem trockenes Brot und die Auswahl ist schlecht (Abendessen hingegen war sehr gut). - Auch die Sauberkeit am Buffet, vor allem beim Frühstück, kann besser sein. Wenn man zu spät da ist hat man Pech. - Die Cocktails sind unterirdisch. Es gab am zweiten Tag kein Bier mehr welches erst nach weiteren 3 Tagen aufgefüllt wurde. - Der Steeg ist nicht begehbar und man hat hier leider keinen direkten Zugang zum Meer Im Prinzip wollten wir 4 Sterne geben, aber wir waren insgesamt 17 Tage auf Zanzibar und haben mehrere Unterkünfte besucht und haben gesehen, dass es deutlich besser geht. We just left, but i need to tell you, how much we loved this hotel. If you want a peaceful and quiet holiday, with so much kind attention, kind staff, come here. It is in the middle of nowhere, so if you would like to go so much programms in Zanzibar, it is a little far from Stone town or Nungwi, but absolutely not touristi hotel. You can Feel the African vibe here, and it has a private beach as well with no beach boys. The best if you ask for an all inclusive service, the price is amazing and the food and drinks are really good also. The rooms are stunning, the garden is amazingly beautiful. And let me mention our butler, Emanuel. He is a gorgeous, helpful man, he made our days so special there. From the start you will feel, you are important, and thanks God, there is not a lot room and suit here, so you can really rest. Best hotel I’ve ever been in my life. Thanks for everything.

At first, we read quite a few bad reviews about here that almost made us cancel our trip but we decided to take the risk and visit here, the drive was very smooth apart from the little untarred roads leading to the resort which personally I don’t see it as a big deal like some other commenters. The resort was very much our moneys worth, we had our private butler Ramoso, who made sure that our stay was unforgettable and not to mention how our villa was so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed at the spice luxury villa 509 and it has the best views ever. If you want your peace and quiet, just ask for that and you won’t be disappointed. The amenities are very much in good state, the staff very friendly and always smiling. The only thing that I would suggest is: to make sure that if you book all inclusive, that means every restaurant should be included not just a few other than that, our stay was very good and we would be visiting again In the near future.
