Het personeel was supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. De hotelmanager Remu heeft ons ontzettend goed geholpen met alles. Prachtige locatie met zalig zwembad en lekkere keuken. We hebben heerlijk genoten. Bedankt aan de hele crew om ons te soigneren.

A visiter absolument!! Tout était au top: la nourriture,le personnel,l'emplacement,la propreté,l'ambiance et le cadre. Le personnel d'une gentillesse extrème et cet hôtel est à faire en premier lieu. Nous recommandons très vivement.

We arrived in the small hours, half-dead on our feet and were met with a warm, generous welcome which lasted the whole week of our stay. The photos didn't capture the charm for me so I was pleasantly surprised. With regards to the rooms, a delightful daily ritual was seeing the towel art creations of the chambermaids. Tropical Sunset is headed up by Remo, and I've never met a hotel manager so dedicated to making sure every need is met. From getting the best deal on day trips - we bathed with turtles, swam with dolphins/went snorkelling and took a cultural tour of Stone Town. He was always checking in with you and trouble-shooting every step of the way. He's a real asset to the hotel. Also Mohammed and his team Bertram and Angel were equally warm, memorable and great company over breakfast. From the evening menu, I recommend the seafood curry for a taste of local cuisine made with love and care. The hotel pool is compact and tranquil however there wasn't enough shade for my pale skin so I really enjoyed visiting the sister hotel for a couple of days, bagging a shady, windy spot from which to look at the sea and sink into my book. Another star staff member is Masaai Frankie, again checking in on your wellbeing at the end of an island adventure. I'd say what sets it apart is the lovely home away from home feel and a core staff of people who take pride in their jobs, going the extra mile to give you a enjoyable stay.

Had an absolutely amazing week at tropical sunset. I stayed in the honeymoon suite- it was lovely and cool, with good black out blinds and a great view of the ocean. The best thing about the stay was the people who worked at the hotel and the general atmosphere. It was like being part of a family for the week. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Massive thanks to Remo the manager - he was like a father always looking out for you, making sure you were happy and he couldn’t do more for you. He organised 3 great day trips for us: swimming with wild dolphins and snorkelling, swimming with sea turtles and doing a sunset cruise and the spice farm and Stone town. Everything went seamlessly and made it all effortless for us. He also took us to the sister hotel at Sofia sunrise and arranged a number of massages at the hotel. The food was exceptional- Chef Mohammed and his team use the freshest ingredients and it’s really healthy. The breakfasts are hearty and varied. The seafood curry was delicious. When I fell ill both Remo and Mohammed came to the hospital with me and stayed to make sure I was ok. It touched my heart - the genuine care that they showed. The team brought me breakfast in bed each morning after I fell ill. The owner of the hotel Antonio also frequently checked in to see how I was feeling. I could not have felt more cared for. Bertram and Angel who work in the restaurant are so friendly and fun and always go the extra mile. Frankie was always there at the end of each day to ask how our day had been. The hotel is a great base to explore the island, the location is far preferable to Nungwi which has been taken over by mass tourism. It’s peaceful and authentic but there are lots of restaurants within walking distance so doesn’t get boring. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! I hope I can visit again soon!

Abbiamo appena soggiornato in questa nuova e meravigliosa struttura di gestione italiana a Kiwengwa che si distungue di sicuro da subito per la bellezza, l'accoglienza, la pulizia e la perfetta assistenza e attenzione del personale ai clienti. Stanza perfetta dalle giuste dimensioni arredata in modo tipico con terrazzino e vista sull'oceano e palme. Hotel posizionato veramente vicino alla spiaggia basta fare due passi per attraversare la strada. Colazione nel piccolo ristorante tipico all'interno della struttura comprensiva di frullato fatto al momento, frutta fresca, dolce fatto in casa, uova, caffè etc. Viene portato un menù sulla quale scegliere quello che si preferisce. Menzione particolare va fatta sicuramente a Daniele il manager dell'hotel che ci ha accolto in modo unico, ci ha veramente seguito, dato assistenza e risposto prontamente alle nostre domande con simpatia e cortesia davvero difficili da trovare. Peccato non aver passato più tempo insieme. La piscina esterna completa l'eccellente servizio dato dalla struttura. In loco c'è sempre un custode masai di nome Franky che è simpaticissimo. Il sig. Antonio è stato superlativo in quanto ci ha organizzato a distanza il matrimonio in spiaggia al tramonto che posso assicurarvi essere stato un qualcosa di unico ed emozionantissimo. Anche qui Daniele si è premurato affinchè andasse tutto al meglio. Che dire, struttura semplicemente perfetta e consigliatissima. Enrico & Elisa

Abbiamo soggiornato al tropical sunset a inizio agosto 2023. La struttura è nuova, pulita, curata e sia le camere che la parte esterna sono arredate con gusto. Il personale è cortese e disponibile. La camera era dotata di tutti i confort, il giardino e la piscina sono davvero bellissimi. Bellissima anche l'altra struttura, Sofia dove gli ospiti del Tropical possono accedere. A livello logistico il Tropical è posizionato bene, la distanza dal mare (si tratta di attraversare la strada, tranquillissimo anche di notte) è davvero minima e vale la pena fare quei due passi per soggiornare in questa struttura. Consiglio il Tropical Sunset per le vostre vacanze a Zanzibar

Séjour très agréable, Daniel le manager est aux petits soins avec ses clients. Tout le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable, les femmes de ménage, Mohammed le cuisinier.. Nous recommandons vivement !

If you are looking for a place to relax, this is the right place for you... Very clean, spacious rooms with detailed decorations and a stunning seaview (I stayed in the deluxe room), a restaurant with tasty food, and a lovely staff that makes you feel welcomed from the first moment, especially Mohamed the restaurant manager and Daniele the hotel manager, very caring and professional... The best bed i slept in Zanzibar, and a very great plus are the curtains that hold back the light in the morning, so that you can sleep as long as you like. Highly recommended!

Nous avons été super bien reçus, comme en famille! Hôtel propre, agréable et bien situé pour passer des vacances au calme et relaxantes. Daniel, nous a conseillé et à organisé nos excursions pour que tout se passe à merveille, il nous a fait découvrir les alentours et à été disponible tout au long du séjour. Il a organisé notre safari en Tanzanie avec un guide fantastique. Nous avons été reçus chaleureusement au restaurant par Mohamed, qui fait de son mieux pour répondre à nos envie avec quelques bonnes surprises lors des repas. Quand à la fabuleuse femme faisant le ménage dans les chambres c'est une réelle fée du logis, tous les jours nous avons eu une petite attention dans notre chambre. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable! Merci encore à cette équipe au top
