Hotels Near Kumano Shrine in Kitakyushu

The convenient point is that the limousine bus stop at Kitakyushu Airport is in front of you. There is also a convenience store there. The trouble is that the heating in winter is weak. When I stayed two years ago, I made the temperature setting of the room 30 degrees Max in February, but it is only about 24 degrees, and it is the place of the thermometer, and the temperature of the body is colder I got a blanket and went to bed. Also, when I drained the bath, the floor of the toilet was overflowing with hot water and I had to repair it. If it was not midwinter, the bed was large and might be good.

The appearance and interior were very nice. The retro atmosphere of the elevator was good. The breakfast buffet was delicious and enjoyed. I will definitely use it if I have the opportunity to go to Nagasaki again.

大浴場ありという事とJR黒崎駅直結で便利という事で利用しました。 ホテル自体はコムシティの9階から12階なのですが、ロビーだけは道路に面した1階にあります。 駅ビル直結ではあるものの、コンコースからは一度降りる必要があるため意外と移動は面倒です。 大浴場に関しては、大浴場と呼ぶには少し誇張しすぎかなという感じで、やや狭かったです。 (ホームページでも載せていますが、盛っている感じはなく印象そのままです) それでも高齢者の方に配慮して手摺が付いているのは感心しました。 1Fのロビーにコーヒーとお茶のウェルカムドリンクサーバーが置いてあり、自由に飲むことができた事です。 この事だけでも利用して良かったと思えました。 朝食は6時半開始ということで、朝早く移動する私に取っては利用しやすい時間帯でした。 難点は、駅前にも関わらず近くにスーパーマーケットがなく(徒歩10分程)、コンビニ以外での買い出しは意外と面倒です。

Thanks to that, I don't have to worry about eating and searching, but I need to secure my feet to the inn. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus, so I can use it on my way back and forth. Only 14:30 at JR Orio Station. It is a little early, but it can be used because it can be slow at the inn. There were about 10 users, and several of them were noisy that there was no person who had not come late for the train, but this day departed 1 minute late and arrived at the inn in about 25 minutes. I have stayed at the old Kanpo Inn in Asahi, but the arrival of the shuttle bus is often crowded and I have to wait for a while. I thought the sunset could be seen in the restaurant, so I chose a room where I could see the sunrise a little cheaper. However, I can see the sunrise and the view of the sea is not good on the room side, and even in the most advanced room, I can only see the sea a little on the left side, and is it an employee dormitory in front of the room? The amount of food is relatively small, and cold dishes are arranged first, and after sitting down, they are devised to bring warm ones. I was surprised that the sashimi was delicious and the kanpachi was thick. The accommodation fee is not cheap, but it was saved because there was travel support. It was good so far, but the problem was that when I was waiting for departure on the shuttle bus on the way back, some customers who were making noise about going lost the key to the safe again, or I forgot my bag and tried to return. The elderly driver was completely confused. The driver who thought there was a person who was late finally left after 14 minutes of the person who should not come. During that time, check the list and the number of people to find out that everyone is there, but just wait. It's bad that the noisy customer inputs extra information, but the drivers who can't judge appropriately are bad. Thanks to that, I couldn't make the train I was planning, and the next schedule went crazy.

Crown Palace is an exquisite hotel on the Murasaki River bank, a river that springs from Mt. Fukuchi. One of the hotel’s main feature is its gorgeous terrace restaurant with direct access to the river walk. Riverwalk Kitakyushu is a prestigious shopping centre that includes theatres, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, NHK studios, the head offices of Zenrin Co. and the Asahi Shimbun and a branch of the Kitakyushu City Art Museum. My wife and I stayed 2 times in Crown Palace this year summing about one month. Some rooms have city view but I didn’t try any. I recommend the rooms with a view over the Murasaki river. The railway station is at 10 minutes walking distance. Kokura castle, the district’s main attraction, is just across the riverbank. This was not the first year to stay in Crown Palace, so I could observe the constancy of high quality services. I was mostly impressed by the lunch, not only by the food, its presentation, but also by the way it was served. I knew Crown Palace from few years ago for the French dinners. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, dinner restaurant was closed. I recommend the deluxe double room (see my pictures). Breakfast is very good, don’t miss it. If you stay long, as we did, and wish to try other places to eat, there are plenty of restaurants and cafeterias nearby.

The room I booked that day was over 800 RMB. From the corridor to the room, the whole thing was very old, and the elevator always made noises. If you make a normal reservation for a hotel of this level, you can only accept 350 RMB. There are many cheap parking lots around, but the hotel staff did not inform us that the opposite side is the car park. Later, I saw that the opposite side was the most expensive. The front desk took away the parking ticket without telling us. We searched for it for a long time and thought we had lost it. Later, we asked and found out that it was returned to the guests the next day. The sound insulation is pretty good.

Even if you can't do the room, the space is very large than you think, so you have to stay more than four people. We were two, so we thought we were scared to die when we went to pee at night. Inside, it's clean, except for some dead bugs in the light bulb. For reference, there's Dyson. However, most of the other ryokan have luggage transfer services, but you have to move here directly, and it is expensive for a ryokan where there is no hot spring. Still, the garden view is more beautiful than expected! The photos are also very good. The courtyard here is more beautiful than the Kokura courtyard

As others have said, the customer service was very good! The pajamas and pillows are a system that you can bring to the room by yourself, and the pillows provided in the room were very hard (laughs). The shopping street is right in front of the station, so you can enjoy it even if you go out! I felt that the customer service made up for the age and lack of amenities. The correspondence was really good!

Overall, it was a good hotel. It is right next to the city center, so it is very accessible. I recommend it if you are going to be active near Kokura Station.
