The setting cannot be topped. Nestled in a rainforest...an impenetrable rainforest at that, this lodge has spectacular views and grounds. The rooms were nice. The service was friendly and thoughtful. The lodge/dining hall could be improved with better lighting, and the food was...fine. We stayed at another property later from same company (Eagle's Nest at Lake Mburo), which we enjoyed more. But this is a super good place to stay if you are in the area for Gorillas, which we were.

It is an incredible place with beautiful views over the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The accommodation is very comfortable and beautiful, we ate very well at the restaurant, they welcomed us with typical dances. The best thing was that a family of "Gorillas" visited us at the Lodge the day before we started trekking.

I recently stated here with my friends and had an exceptional experience. Our arrival, was greeted with snacks and fresh juice by the staff. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The professionalism and friendliness truly stood out.

Spent 3 wonderful nights at this lodge. Rough roads to get there but that was fine--we had a great driver/guide. Simple but clean semi-detached cabin with balcony overlooking the forest. We were fortunate to see a forest elephant from balcony one time! Bed was beautifully decorated with towel formations and flowers (several times). Location was a short drive to the Bwindi National Park gorilla trekking. The meal selection and food was very good. Beautiful view from lodge. The staff were marvelous--the manager, waiter, housekeeper, landscapers, etc! Well recommended!

My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived. I honestly have no complaints, and thanks very much to Gorilla Valley Lodge staff for making our stay in Bwindi incredible. Be prepared to pay for everything on site with cash though!

Our room was very cute, comfortable & serene! The food was fabulous and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, welcomed and were very responsive! We would definitely stay here again!

Simple rooms. Excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. However, very many and steep stairs. We were initially assigned a room at the bottom of everything. When we indicated that there were very many stairs, we were promptly assigned a room closer to the restaurant. Wifi is available in the restaurant.

A difficult to reach, but special place with a view of the habitat of the gorilla. Not suitable if you are not very mobile due to the differences in level. The rooms and bathrooms are simple, but spacious, with mosquito nets and all have their own veranda with table and chairs. Around the spacious restaurant with fireplace is a covered terrace with a beautiful view. Many beautiful birds fly here, so you will not be bored here.

Gute Lodge als Vorbereitung für das ersehnte Gorilla Tracking im Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Personal aufmerksam, Essen entsprechend gut, regelmäßiger Stromausfall führt dann zu Kerzenschein beim Abendessen - fast schon romantisch. Selbst das Lunch Paket war gut durchdacht und reichhaltig.
