Salmon Falls Resort

This property is part of a fishing dock and beautiful nature preserve with waterfall. The hotel itself has stunning views and nature walks, as well as numerous fishing excursions. The rooms are adequate and have a “log cabin” camp feel.

Overall, the staff needs more training and the facility has concerning quantity. The staff does not make you feel welcomed. They did not have the standard greetings. No professional manner at all. It was really not a good idea to hire some high school students during the summer for front desk services. When we checked out, she did not even ask how was our stay. She didn’t even know that we paid through ******* and was going to charges again if I had not made it clear with her in time. The room is so dark and doesn’t have good privacy. The entire room only has one lamp over the nightstand, that’s all. The other lights are in bathroom area. What made it even worse is we can hear and be heard by next-door neighbor. There is a door to next room. That corner should not be placed with any bed. Unfortunately, there is a bed right next to the door from both rooms, and in the middle of a the night, I heard people coughing, in the morning people talking. My husband and I were so concerned that people over there also were also hearing us very well. We did feel very much violated. Almost $300 per night. The restaurant Timber is even worse. Not going to come back, for sure.

Booked a stay for September in July. In August I emailed the information address about our stay and other activities. After 2 days of zero response I called only to be told someone would call back. After another day I received call. After making plans and several emails back and forth, a week before our flight I emailed to confirm all to be told that they would be closing for the season. No one reached out to me, their website still stated they were going to be open. They referred me to their sister property who told me we could stay but they couldn't accommodate our activities because they were closing also. We had to find another place to stay all together. I'm glad we didn't stay here.

Salmon Falls Resort was a fantastic spot to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. It was made so special by the people. From check in, to dining, to our fantastic Captian, Derek, to the airport transportation, and finally to check out. Very smooth start to finish and worth every penny.

I don't know how Salmon Falls scored all the best people in the world to work for them. From their fishing boat Captains/ Guides to their dock staff. To everyone at the bar and in the restaurant at Timbers. Everyone in transportation. The whole hospitality staff. Hands down, the most kind, sincere, wholesome, mellow and funny staff we've ever had on our travels.

My husband and I are local but took some time to connect at the Lodge. The scenery was breathtaking, the service was top notch and the relaxation was spot on. The food at Timbers was light, healthy and delicious!!! Highlight of our time there.
