B&B HOTEL Kehl

It's the kind of motel where you can drive over and stay for just one night. It's very cost-effective. There's a big supermarket a few dozen meters next to it, which is very convenient. Parking is free.

Breakfast was surprisingly good for the price. Everything you need was there and the food was good quality. As expected, the location was not central, but right next to the train station (20 minutes by S-Bahn to Strasbourg center). The supermarket was also right next door. The parking spaces were perfect and sufficient right in front of the entrance (and free of charge too) The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't particularly big but it was OK. The cleanliness was top notch.

Great location for tram trips to France. Basic amenities. The room itself is clean, but the toilet has a constant unpleasant smell. During our three nights of stay, there was no cleaning (!) Checked in at exactly 15:00, although the room was ready earlier. Breakfasts are without hot food (hard-boiled eggs), but you won't go hungry. Breakfast should be served from 6:30 as stated in the information booklet, however, on the day of departure (30.05) everything was closed until 7:30 and it was a weekday. Keep in mind that the reception is not open 24 hours, as stated on the website, at least on the day of departure everything was tightly closed until 8:00.

Excellent service, close to public transport, and there are many varied and reasonable restaurants.

Good location and it doesn't take long to get to Strasbourg city. The hotel is very clean.

Free parking, new and excellent facilities, small and compact rooms, convenient for going to Strasbourg, France, 300 meters away from the bus, 15 minutes every TRAM D, you can buy single tickets, 24-hour tickets, etc. at the self-service machine on the platform, or use the CTS APP to buy tickets. The self-service machine charges 0.2 euros more than the app.

Unfortunately, I can't say much good about our stay. Summary: strange hairs in the bed, no soap in the bathroom, poor service, barn eggs declared as organic. First we noticed the somewhat unpleasant smell in the room. But it got better after turning off the ventilation. Otherwise, the room is quite small and generally very thin! Now to the actual problems: Immediately after arriving in our room, we found a lot of short hairs in the bed and the bed linen. After informing reception, our bed was remade and the bed linen replaced. The man at reception seemed a bit helpless and didn't want to give me his name for the email with the photos that I sent to the hotel email address on his instructions. After we were away during the day and came back in the evening, we noticed that both soap dispensers (shower and sink) were empty. After I told a lady at reception about this the next morning, I was given a bar of soap to exchange myself and assured that the second bar of soap would be exchanged or that someone would bring a replacement (this did not happen until I left two days later). I also told the cleaner that day, but it did not help. There was not a word of apology or anything like that. Furthermore, at breakfast, barn eggs are advertised as organic. This borders on deception/fraud. The attached photos prove everything. I don't know if I will visit another hotel in the B&B chain. Probably not in Germany and certainly not in Kehl.
