Is for the next day by plane to stay in the hotel, the overall feeling is good, but the location is a little difficult to find.

This hotel is the best I have ever stayed at! Service was excellent, staff friendly and professional. The room is very luxurious and comfortable, with all facilities. The food was of extremely high quality and every dish was stunning. The massage service at the spa completely relaxed me. The hotel is in a great location with stunning views. The entire stay was unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel as an ideal choice whether traveling for business or leisure. I will definitely stay again!

It is inconvenient to call a taxi to the airport. There is no airport bus. Taxis are very expensive and you have to call in advance to book. Fully self-service check-in.

This was our last 2-night stay prior to leaving Iceland. I was pretty cool to be this close to the airport, but you might not like the noise of planes taking off. I loved the history of this guesthouse. The guesthouse is located where a U.S. Military base was located and was a bank for the military. Directly across from the guesthouse is the current U.S. Navy hanger where several Navy planes are stationed to do submarine location in the ocean. Within the guesthouse is a little museum telling the history of the guest house. The rooms were fairly plain but comfortable. I would recommend the guesthouse provide detailed instructions on how to use the coffee machine as it was not apparent, and I had to google it. Also we did not receive an email from them telling us how to get in and luckily for us, they were there cleaning it when we arrived. Apparently people booking through Trip advisor or ******* do not always get the information. If you book this follow up prior to arrival.

We booked three rooms for my family. Banks called and indicated that the number of people would require four rooms, no harm, no foul, we booked the fourth. Upon landing in Keflavik we were not provided the promised "self check-in" information. A phone call got us two of the rooms access codes. Called a second time for the outstanding two rooms, they would only give us one. We paid for four rooms and they would only provide three, I assume it is because they double booked and didn't have the room. I have now been doing righteous battle with both the Banks people and *******, who we booked through. Next step is small claims here in my state. Avoid at all costs.

We arrived in the afternoon, had just been through the car wash, with our rental car, and while my better half went to check in, I took some paper tissue, and cleaned out dust in the door openings. Later my wife told me that the owner had closed the door in her face, to make her use some coded entrance. And had to come and help her. Then the owner came out to me and asked what I was doing. And I told her that I was preparing to return the car. It was sparkling new washed, as I wanted to make sure that there were no hidden dents. She asked who I was renting from, and because I thought it was none of her business, I for fun said that I wouldn't tell her, in case she would tell them that I was fixing up the car. By now we could get in, and I took a bucket of hot water from the bahtroom, to flush out some snow at the front grill of the car. And I laid down to push a rubber thing back in place under the car. When this lady, the Owner, came around the corner of the hotel with her phone taking pictures of me and the car. Now she was absolutely furious that we were washing and repairing our rental car at her property, and that we had taken water from inside. I tried to make her calm, but she was mentally gone. I moved the car one spot, and removed the snow that had come loose. She kept complaining that we were washing and repairing a car on her premises. After 5 minutes we decided to leave. Under no circumstances would we spend our last night on Iceland, under her roof. When we drove away, I tried to rationalize that other people might have brought in dirty cars to clean on her parking, and that might make her pre-tick. But ours were sparkling from the recent wash, and I had used own paper tissue, to clean hard to get to places. NOTHING in our behavior could redeem hers. We had paid, and paid again for another, very nice place, but rather double pay, than staying in Bates Motel. I will hopefully, with this written account, get her completely out of my memory. Iceland is wondefull! And we even saw the vulcano from the airplane! Total bonus :) Stefan, Denmark

Located in the airport town of Keflavik, near the cargo terminal , while KEF international about 10 minutes drive away. We stayed here becos we need to catch the 7am flight to London gatwick .Clean n comfy. Love the small lobby n sitting area. Small kitchen but comfy , complimentary coffee free flow. Met the sweet lady owner , she chit chat a bit with my fren. A frequent traveller herself. Highly recommend if you need hotel near KEF airport.

Be aware the phrase "a few steps" from the airport means 4 miles. It is described as being practically on site. I chose it because I am partially disabled and can handle a few steps. Once I booked a nonrefundable fare, it said it's only $137 for a one-way taxi ride to the hotel that was "a few steps" from the airport. The hotel was rude and refused a refund. I will be posting negative reviews everywhere. I hope they will change their language so as not to fool anyone else.
