We stayed three nights. The hotel is situated in the Financial District in downtown Kansas City and the free streetcar is only a short walk from the front door. Good parking is available across the street at USD 16/night. The hotel is not new but has undergone substantial renovations and we were welcomed by very friendly team members during our stay. Our room was spacious, reasonably quiet and nice with the usual Hampton facilities. Unfortunately housekeeping was not up to usual Hampton standards and we even found some nail clippings which definitely were not our own in the bathroom. Not very nice. The included breakfast was good without being great.

I called day before arrival to request a sleeping room close to my teaching room and hotel staff set me up with the PERFECT room. Brianna and James were amazingly helpful as I prepared for my seminar the following morning. Everyone on staff was helpful, location was great, and there's a StarBucks in the lobby :-)
