The new hotel is invested by Indians. It has a very good environment and the service industry is quite enthusiastic. The package includes three meals a day. I stayed here for two days. The quality of the food was quite good and not too repetitive. The front desk of the hotel can arrange to go to the peninsula beach opposite to watch the sunset, but the beach opposite requires a fee of 10,000 shillings per person. There are usually activities, performances, etc. on the beach. The hotel has a casual style, quiet and clean.
Their general manager, Mr. Saipan, is very enthusiastic, and their waiter, Maxmillion, provides excellent service and recommends tasting their Stone City rose wine.
In addition, I would like to take the opportunity to recommend a good local driver, Mohammed Ali, who is originally from Oman. He is a nice person. He found the beach where we can go chasing dolphins, watching starfish, snorkeling, etc. It only costs 30 dollars to charter a boat, three in front and one in front. During the hour, the captain also gave me fruit as a gift. I felt that the service was very good and I consciously tipped. It was a great experience. There is this driver's business card in the picture, you can find him.

This luxury hotel in Pongwe Beach completely exceeded our expectations. Right when we stepped out of our taxi, we were wrapped in warmth and genuine kindness - turns out the staff go through 3-6 months of training, and it really shows! The service here is definitely a cut above what you typically find in Zanzibar. The pool area is a total highlight. Unlike many hotels where pools are just for show, this one's actually fun to hang out in. The swim-up bar is fantastic - we ended up having a few cocktails there every day (great prices too!). There's something really special about enjoying your drink while chilling in the water. We treated ourselves to a spa day and wow - the massage therapists really know what they're doing. We practically floated out of there afterward! We stayed in the wonderful Deluxe room with half board plan. Both breakfast and dinner have tons of variety, and everything's fresh and tempting. The staff is super attentive - they're always checking if you need anything and happy to make special arrangements. Even vegans will find plenty to eat here (though don't expect tofu - it's not really a thing in Zanzibar yet). Empty or unused plates will be removed from your table in an instant. Quick heads up about the beach - during the day and evening, the water's quite far out due to the tide. Honestly though, it didn't bother us at all. The whole place is incredibly well-maintained - you won't find any broken stuff or things that need fixing. The rooms are top-notch with all the luxuries you'd expect, including TVs with Netflix (just log in with your own account). Big shoutout to Esther at reception who hooked us up with a late checkout for free - super appreciated! Said, who greeted us on arrival, was also fantastic. Actually, the entire team goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The overall vibe here is just perfect - luxurious but still laid-back and welcoming. Everything works like it should, the staff is amazing, and we felt totally taken care of the whole time. If you're looking for a really special place to stay in Zanzibar, this is it!

The hotel is very comfortable and it is very good to get a little more than the previous opinion, but I find the note too hard ... The swimming pool would deserve some more maintenance, that's true. The restaurant is very long, but it's a constant in Zanzibar. The meat is coriace ... But the frame is beautiful. And above all, the staff is really nice and deserves a 4/5

We had the most amazing experience at this hotel! We have done 2 weeks on the island and stayed in different areas, but by far this was the best hotel! The welcome from the staff was incredible, a welcome juice and beautiful singing and instruments. The food was 10/10 and we loved how the chef took time to speak with the guests. Every single staff member we encountered was fantastic. A special shout out to Ezekiel, he is a real credit to your team and is very friendly and professional! The rooms were beautiful, well cleaned and great essentials included. It was my friends birthday and they did a cute display in the room and a cake for her at dinner with singing and dancing which made the day special! The pool area was great, towels already on the beds for you and they give you ‘bed’ service for anything you need around the pool. They also offer a buggy service to get you around the hotel which is a nice touch! Evening entertainment was brilliant, very skilled people! Also thank you to Raymond, Emmanuel, Solomoni, Kombo, Megan, Godfrey, Godlisten, Majid, Abeid and everybody else! To top it off they even do a farewell song which has left me in tears! I cannot wait to come back next year!

IItaiThe service was splendid, the receptionist was so gentle and understanding. Their restaurant service is top tier. I won't mind staying there again on my second trip.
We booked Zanzibar Bay Resort as part of a package holiday through TUI. In all honestly, the photos on the TUI website don’t do the hotel justice, it is so much better than we had anticipated it being. The hotel is immaculate and staff work tirelessly to ensure it’s kept clean and well maintained. There are also additional touches, with staff setting up your mosquito nets each night etc. It has to be said that staff are amongst some of the loveliest I have ever encountered. Andrew, one of the waiters, was a particular favourite- he always took time to speak with us during dinner service and was just such so friendly. The staff group as a whole are fantastic and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of their hard work to make the hotel an enjoyable place for the guests. As vegetarians, we were apprehensive about the food, but we needn’t have been, as the food choices were plentiful and varied. We were there for 13 nights, and the food wasn’t repeated either, so plenty of choice. The pools are clean, well maintained and at all bars etc, the service is quick. My only slight niggle would be the street sellers on the beach, who do make a beeline for you when crossing onto the jetty. However they are all friendly enough and do leave you alone if you show little interest in what they are selling. Obviously the hotel has no control over this, and the street sellers do not enter the perimeters of the hotel at any time. Also I would say that because of the low tides, the beach at the back of the resort is not really ideal for swimming. However there are so many beautiful beaches in Zanzibar which are easily accessible. Don't let it be a reason to put you off, but if you are someone who likes a morning dip in the sea, then you may be disappointed if you book the hotel for the beachfront. All in all, I can’t fault the hotel- it was an incredible stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again in future!
HHappiness59072031067If you want to enjoy your holiday, please do not book at this resort! The first day we arrived in the evening around 23:00. To check-in, they are making a copy of your passport (while this is not happening in other resorts in zanzibar or tanzania). Coming in to the room we saw that the beds were full of stains and there was a huge nest of insect eggs in the shower. After going back and forth to the reception they finally changed the bedding and removed the insect eggs. The next day they came for a deepcleaning of the room. The power at the resort keeps falling out, hence your aircon will stop in the middle of night. In two weeks time this happened a couple times every night. Everytime, we woke up from the heat and then noticed the aircon was off again. We also stayed at another resort where there was no power outage at all, thus this was a problem specific to paradise beach resort. Likely due to overload on the power network. At a certain point the aircon stopped working all together. Luckily they were able to fix the aircon. The matrass in the main room was sagged. My mom already had pain in her back and it didnt get any better sleeping on that matress. We went to another resort for 3 days and here the matress was good and my mom didnt have that much pain in her back anymore, until we returned to Paradise Beach Resort, where it started all over again. Since I cannot eat meat, garlic or union we checked out the a la carte restaurant before we arrived, but unfortunately this restaurant was closed (without notifying us beforehand), only the snacks could be ordered. This made it very difficult for me to eat something nice on holiday. At a certain point the entire coconut bar was closed, which meant I did not have any food at all. We had to contact more than 3 people from the resort in order to get some food, each time telling us its not possible. Eventually the chef of the restaurant did make the samosa for me, but it took us more than an hour to even get it arranged. Additionally, the walking buffet was not clean at all, as the first day the yoghurt was sour but the second day it was not, indicating to me it was kept outside the fridge for way too long. There was also some blue/white stuff on the cheese, and the guests in the resort are touching the food with their bare hands and tasting the souces from the spoon and putting it back in. The resort didnt pay attention to all of this and just let it happen. My mom still has stomach ache from eating the buffet. The bathroom has a horrible sewage smell, as the sewage smell comes up through the toilet. This is also something we havent experienced in the other resort we stayed in or in the lodges of the safari. So again something specific to paradise beach resort. The pillow outside had been pooped on by birds, and instead of cleaning it, they just turn it around. Not acceptable and really disgusting! Last but not least, one of the last days we went to the butterfly centre, and I had left my sigare
VVytautasthe final bill was higher than what we used, so... The check-out time is until 10, although when we ordered in the online system it was written that until 11 o'clock. Staying in the room until 11 was not allowed. The food is delicious, but I saw the waiter putting the food that fell out back into the dish. Some of the staff are very polite, but certainly not all. The location is great, the beach too. We bought the tours from the locals outside the hotel gate, it was cheaper and an interesting experience.
