Amazing from start to finish. The service provided by Helen and Nikos was outstanding to say the least. Always attentive helpful and friendly. Helen did amazing lunches, the chicken salad was to die for and well Niko’s cocktails were the best we had anywhere during our stay. George was so helpful in sorting very reasonable priced rental cars and even helped organise a rental boat for the day . Afytos is a gorgeous lovely place with so many bars and restaurants to choose from . The whole complex was immaculate with views that are stunning. We loved it that much we have already booked for next year and that is a first for us.

The hotel is a small hotel set on lovely landscaped grounds overlooking the sea. There is a small steep path leading down to the beach but its a difficult ascent. There is a road outside the hotel and you turn left towards kalithea town to access an easier route. The hotel has a lovely bar and breakfast area which is all glass doors looking out to the sea. The breakfast is continental style with some hot plates and it is perfectly adequate. There is no entertainment at the hotel, just a stereo system which was perfectly suitable for us. There are plenty sunbeds and no real issues with sun bed booking but invariably there are always those people who continue to book sunbeds with a towel and leave them unattended best part of the day. My room was a superior double with a balcony overlooking the sea. I felt that there was no real privacy on the balcony as there are low walls between them. In effect it means that if others use their balcony, it feels like you are sitting right next to your neighbour. The hotel should consider some screening between balconies and this would help them be much more useful and private. I personally feel this is not really a hotel suited to families with children as there is nothing there for them and very small children's pool. The pool is also very cold. The food served at the hotel was very good, especially the salads. My personal favourite was the country inn salad made with prosciutto ham. My partner loved the caprese salad with pesto. There are nice pizza , burgers etc also and the hotel has reasonable costs for food and drink. Helen and Nicholas were the staff members who we generally seen day to day. The service they provide at the hotel is outstanding. They were always smiling, friendly and helpful. Helen is an incredible worker. She was there from morning till night, through the day dealing with food, cleaning, serving at the bar. Accepting deliveries, booking people in etc etc. Despite all that, she always served food to a high standard, served drinks at the bar, never leaving you to wait any length of time. She is an absolute asset to the hotel and her friendly manner, and incredible service helped to make our holiday . I've been to places previously where there has been many more staff and they could not provide that level of service. Afytos is 6 euro by taxi each way and is a really lovely little place with lots of nice restaurants and shops. Our two places to mention there is Lithos cafe bar which has a nice vibe and a great people watching spot. Taverna Bogiata is an incredible Greek restaurant in afytos but you will either need to book or get there before 7pm. Afytos is walkable but around 25 mins from country inn hotel. If you want to walk, come to the end of the road from the hotel and turn right. Turn left for Kalithea Town which is a 15min walk. There is also a large supermarket heading to the left for Kalithea. Its a 5 min walk from the hotel. A reasonably priced restaurant that we found good wa

We have just returned from a weeks holiday. Ive never been to Greece and we both absolutely adored this small hotel. Days spent by the pool relaxing and trips out to the beach , afitos and kalithea . We loved the food and felt spoilt with the lovely breakfast every morning. We stayed at the hotel for dinner twice and it was perfect both times. Special thank you to Eleni who was always on hand and Nikos for the great cocktails. The rooms were amazing, i especially loved the large bed and the view from our room of the sea was fantastic. I wish the sea had been easier to reach but apart from that we had the best holiday and cant wait to go back.

This small and personal Hotel is perfect for people wanting true relaxation while enjoying stunning sea views. The rooms are modern with sufficient space and nice decor. The pool are has ample sun beds for the hand full of rooms so no morning bun fight to obtain one. The restaurant offers home cooked simple snacks and meals at competitive pricing along with all local and international beers/ spirits all served by Eleni and Nikos. The local village of Kallithia is a bit of a conundrum as although it is surrounded by hotels and apartments there isn’t an awful lot appart from beach bars, coffee shops, souvenir stores and if your in the market for a new coat, plenty of leather and fur vendors. €6 buys you a three minute taxi ride to Ayptos which is very much a quaint Greek village with plenty of restaurants and bars with great views and terrific ambiance. We were there for a week and were heart broken to leave. This location is thoroughly recommended.

I honestly can't believe i fell for this. Having read the reviews it sounded great but i have a different story. The best thing about this place is the cleaner (only one) she worked wonders. The pool and gardens looked pretty good but just be aware the pool has far too much chlorine in it, so much so it's like milk! Afytos is ok but Kallithea is to put it mildly a dump. It might just be me and a few other people we spoke to but every shop we went in we felt like shoplifters, staff following us round. weird. All in all the worst Greek holiday we have ever been on, would i go back? not if it was free. Good luck if you 've already booked!

What a wonderful place. The hotel is exceptional with lovely, warm and friendly hosts, Eleni and Nikos. The rooms were perfect. We had a view of the pool but it looked like every room had either a beach or pool view. Eleni's cooking was as good as any of the restaurants we visited in Afytos. The walk into Afytos was about 30 mins, or a taxi ride (booked by the hotel) would be 6 euros. It is definitely worth a trip to the beach, either down the track behind the hotel, or walking the longer way round. Just be careful if using the track. The sea itself is like one big open air swimming pool and absolutely wonderful to swim in. Overall, an exceptional hotel and a great holiday. Thank you Eleni and Nikos!

I almost don’t want to say how good the Country Inn is and want to keep it secret to make sure there are rooms available for us to go back! It is only a small hotel in that it only has 18 rooms but the rooms are a good size and the grounds to the hotel are extensive and kept well. We arrived at 3pm and were shown to our room which was far better than others we have stayed in Greece. Air conditioning and safety deposit box both free, good size balcony with pool view and cleaned daily. We really enjoyed breakfast everyday and the choice suited us perfectly. The pool is large and the beds are plentiful and arranged around the grounds so you are not like sardines around the pool and you could get beds at anytime of day so no scrambling or people reserving which was great. There is a path from the hotel to the beach but it doesn’t belong to the hotel and it is not very safe. There is a road to the beach about 5 mins walk which was easier. The area - there is a large supermarket a few mins walk and if you go a bit further there is quite a large centre with lots of places to eat but it is quite commercial we also went into Afytos which was €6 in a taxi which the hotel rang for us, it was much more quaint there. Back to the hotel - it is so welcoming we stayed by the pool most days and met some lovely people so it was a really lovely atmosphere. The staff - fabulous, the lovely Eleni looked after everyone from breakfast right through to drinks in the night. She makes lovely lunches and we ate in one evening and again lovely food prepared by her. We also used to make our way back to the hotel and have a few drinks in the bar later on and Eleni doesn’t do small measures and always served everything with a smile. Nikos was fun around the bar and made fantastic golden margaritas and put the premier league football on for us when we asked. George the owner comes and checks on everything and always has time for a chat if you want to. Just hope we can return next year.

We visited at the end of August and after a stressful journey, arrived to this beautiful little place. We were blown away by the panoramic views of the stunning turquoise and sapphire sea. The pool area is peaceful and relaxed and well equipped with a mix of padded and rafia beds, and there were plenty to go around. The bar area and restaurant has the most stunning view across the water and it was a beautiful place to sit for breakfast and a cocktail in the early evening. Our room was basic and a little tired but had everything we needed and a comfortable bed. There is a path to the beach which isn't managed by the hotel and is a little hairy to get down but you can also get to the beach by the road as a safer option. The beach was extremely busy while were there and beds are very cramped so we spent our time by the pool. Something to bear in mind if you visit at this time of year. Breakfast was basic but acceptable. It would've been nice to have the option of eggs to order but there was plenty of everything else - breads, fruit, ham, cheese - and the the coffee was good. The staff are absolutely wonderful - thanks to Eleni for service with a smile at breakfast, noon and evening! Nothing is too much trouble. We loved that the hotel hasn't been expanded too much and has retained its personal touch. If you're considering visiting, I'd definitely recommend.

The Country Inn is the perfect oasis where you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful view and the peace and quiet. The place is spotlessly clean and rooms are cleaned daily. Everyone who works there are so kind and friendly. The food is great, breakfast has a good choice and lunches are delicious especially the tuna salad and club sandwiches. The steps at the back of the hotel lead down to the beach but be careful and wear trainers as its very uneven. Kalithea is about 10 minutes away, it has lots of restaurants and bars but is quite " touristy" which isn't really our thing . There are some nice restaurants down by the beach especially Delfina at the end who served us the best sea bass and cheesecake.( cash only). Afytos is a 20 minute walk in the other direction. Some go by taxi but if you're realitively fit it's an easy walk. It's a lovely place full of restaurants and places to drink. Much more traditional Greek and more upmarket. Recommend the sunset cruise that you can book with the Jet2 rep at the hotel.
