It was great from A to Z. The hotel is amazing, the food is excellent, the service is excellent. Just ont thing that could be improved as it was in our bungalow room is the treatment for mosquitos as there were too many. Other than that we strongly recommend Melia as it is one of the best hotel.

There is so much more to a hotel than ticking all of the boxes and the Melia Zanzibar excels in the box that really matters “did you have a great time” and “Yes we did” Nothing is too much trouble for the management and staff, all delivered with a smile and courteous efficiency The staff are faultless, Laura, for her eggs at breakfast, Eliza at the Jetty for lunch or Secelia and Queen for their poolside service and Bruno at dinner at the Spice Restaurant also excellent entertainment by Msaifu They have an enviable Cliffside location with “Instagram” shots at every turn.

Rooms are great, spacious and comfortable. the ocean view is amazing. Customer care is fantastic. Jackson and his team, Suleman, and Stephan, supported our conference very professionally. Made the stay so much better. Took the time to ask whenever we needed assistance. The cuisine is fantastic too. Lots of sea food for sea food lovers.

After a fantastic Safari organized by the African Savannah Holidays (please see review- they were soo wonderful), my brother decided to end our adventure in Zanzibar. First, we enjoyed the Emerson Spice Hotel (wow!) then the Melia. It was just what the doctor ordered- space, sea air, infinity pool, incredible spa, gym, private beach, the spectacular sea, and multiple restaurants to enjoy. The all inclusive even took the pressure off thinking about paying. Speaking of restaurants, the Jetty that sits over the water will not disappoint- the excellent food is only outshone by its location. Then the staff and service were so friendly, charming, professional, and genuinely attentive. It’s was the perfect way to end our Safari. I hope to return someday and would definitely be a return customer.

We stayed 6 nights in the one bedroom pool villa. An absolutely wonderful room which exceeded all our expectations. The highlight of the whole holiday was the service given by all the workers in this fantastic resort. Special mention has to go to Veriander the chef, who made our culinary experience wonderful. Vikram the GM was friendly and attentive. The whole concierge team was great especially Benson and Sammy, who catered to all our needs and requests. The gym was one of the finest gyms that we have seen in a resort. The spa was absolutely brilliant and we had three wonderful sessions. They were extremely professional. Ana was very hospitable and attentive too. All in all, our experience was unforgettable and we will definitely be back.

Stayed at the Melia Zanzibar for 10 nights... Pure paradise. Long review but do read!! It's a huge resort. Accomodation spread through out. We stayed in the Ocean Beach Bungalow which was amazing. Similar to a lodge, wooden floors and walls with a thatched roof, a balcony with a swing seat, set in front of a beach with the waves crashing every night, feels very private and special. The room is turned around twice a day, morning then at late evening, felt fresh every time we walked in. You have to keep the balcony closed at night as the mosquitoes find their way in! Security - gated entrance to the hotel anyone has to check in with security guards. There is security guards everywhere, even on the beach. We even had one floating around our beach bungalows from morning till night. Cameras everywhere. Staff: We want to say a special thank you to the staff who made our trip truly memorable with their attentiveness, kindness, and genuine smiles. Shoutout to Muhidini, Andrea, Saied, Veronica, Anna, Musa, Doud and Peter (we love you, Peter!)❤️ Food - The options is one of the best we’ve had in a resort, a different theme everynight at the buffet with light/laid back entertainment. At 10pm you can chill at the main bar and listen to some live music. For folks with children there is a mini outdoor cinema area at arms length to the main buffet, showing animation. There are other restaurants on site you can see on the website. Beach - is very nice! You never struggle to get a sun lounger any time of the day. It's not a case where people are leaving their towels on every lounger, saving them in the morning. You get drinks and food served anywhere you sit! You never have to go to the bar to top up, the staff is above excellent, they keep coming round chatting and asking what you need. This is on the beach or near the pool, everywhere literally. The restaurant on the beach is super, nice to sit in front of the ocean and have lunch or dinner. The beach boys are there but they are just friendly and not aggressively selling unlike some countries I've been to. Cleanliness - If your room is a bit of a walk away, you don't even have to walk. There are buggies available 24/7, though the walks are nice as the resort is beautiful, green, full of flowers and trees. Not to mention bush babies in the evening! The resort is kept immaculate everyday, leaves are collected everywhere, someone's always cleaning! And the communal bathroom in reception/beach etc are cleaned more than regularly Service - Overall one of the best services we’ve received anywhere in the world. The fact that someone will check if you need food/drink regularly (not just once then expect you to go to the bar yourself) is top service, you feel pampered, spoiled. The staff show alot of respect and manners, especially with women, they don't stare, no uncomfortable feeling at all. The vibe here is take it slow, easy, no stress. A few of the waiters/waitresses don't speak strong English, for me it's f

Total comfort, very helpful, happy and professional staff, great food ... perfect stay. Rooms very clean and roomy, choice of three great restaurants including one overlooking the lagoon. Beautiful large swimming pool. Located on north-east coast with opportunities for snorkelling and PADI scuba diving nearby.

Fahat: "never give up" Mit Fahat haben wir täglich Tränen gelacht.
