We checked-in relatively late in the evening and unable to have both rooms on the same level. The receptionist was kind enough to explain every details. Room wise, its indeed spacious and clean, with a great view of Kaohsiung.
However, during our first breakfast at their restaurant, their staffs didn't communicate well. We told one of their staff that we wanted a table near to the window and he told us he will clear the table for us and told us to grab our food. When we came back, someone else sat on our table and claimed that the other staff brought them to this table. it was such a bad and inconvenient experience.
During second breakfast, found a baby cockroach in their century egg porridge. The only solution that provided was to recook the pot of porridge.
feels like the restaurant service is definitely lacking.

The place is very affordable, accessible and easy to find. The staffs are very friendly and approachable. I love the cozy vibes and the swimming pool at rooftop is lit🔥. Slay✨! There is a nearby tourist night market and the train station is just a few minutes walk away. I also love the vegetable salad and other food served at the hotel’s free breakfast. I would highly recommend this place and definitely wanna come back 😉

When checking in, the service staff saw that there was a child among the guests, and immediately asked if they needed a bathtub. I was surprised and considerate as I was taking a child out. I look forward to staying again next time 🙂

We lived in the hotel for two days. When settled, they could not understand why we had to pay the second time. It turns out that when booking on Bucking, our money was blocked, but in the payment receipt it was not reflected. After repaying, we were settled in the room. The hotel is clean, comfortable, close to the night and stuff markets - 5 minutes walk. The hotel provides a light dinner in the evening - buffets, cakes, ice cream, tea, coffee, drinks. There are many shops, cafes, metro station and bus stops nearby. We are happy with this hotel, if there is an opportunity, we will come again.

Location is great, located in between Formosa Boulevard Station and Kaohsiung station.
It's within walkable distance to Liouhe Nightmarket.
You can get around the city by Youbike which is very convenient.
The staffs were not very friendly but they did their job.
Breakfast was not good so I didn't go on my second morning but just to have a coffee.
The hotel is clean, it is just quite old, but the room is very spacious.

The place is ok.
The staff is just ok, I can't say they are too good either.
They have a non-sense pedantic rule that you must collect your dishes and put them in a tray place. I felt like I am in McDonalds or in a trashy human factory. Meanwhile the staff are sitting doing nothing.
As a guest, when I go to a hotel I want to relax, I have enough with tidying up and cleaning things at home, the least thing I want at a hotel is doing the same.
Breakfast itself is ok but milk tea is EXTREMELY sweet and no milk tea option without sugar so if you do not wanna get diabetes type B you won't be able to enjoy breakfast. The rest is mostly very high carbs suggary or fried fatty stuff except a small salad buffet and scrambled eggs. There was no coffee during my stay as coffee machine was broken so cannot rate it.
Checkin should be conveniently done with a kiosk downstairs but when I came it was broken too.
The place feels comfortable and private.
Water has only BOILING HOT water. So it does not have a mixer so you can shower for the first minute, then water is boiling super hot and there is no way to mix it up with cold water or make temperature cold down. It is funny cause travelling around the world I found some countries where it is difficult to get hot water but first time in my life finding a hotel where it is difficult to get cold water.
Location is just ok, it is a bit far from MRT but most staff is nearby.

The hotel is conveniently located about 10mins walking distance to Sinyi Elementary School Station. The hotel lobby is kinda grand but as its a hotel with long history, lacks abit lustre.
my room is on the 15th floor. spacious room with shower and bathtub, big window with good view..
room doesnt come with an international wall socket (only tw 2 flat pin) so remember to bring along the travel adapter, otherwise will have to ask the hotel for one.
hotel breakfast is decent.. many beverages to choose from..
overall is ok but the room's aircon is super cold and no matter how i adjust the temp and fan mode it doesn't help.. i had to sleep with the aircon off and hid under the duvet whole night..

We stayed 3 days and were very satisfied with the service! Staff were very courteous as we came in and out of the facilities and when we arrived at our room they had left a little welcome snack pack as I’d mentioned that this trip is a bit of a celebration. The location of the hotel was also very convenient for our travels. The hotel itself is a little old but it’s maintained pretty well, I never felt unsafe or that the hotel itself was unclean, it’s just noticeably an older building. If I’m ever back in Kaohsiung I’d definitely book this hotel again

Outstanding
EExpatThis was the perfect spot for me personally because I was able to explore a few local areas. I took the HSR from Taipei and stayed only one night. I met a few locals within walking distance and the Central Park is a nice feature across the street. Although the Pier 2 Creative Park is still in the process of developing itself, I felt it was well worth it to go there for food, drinks, photos, and exploring there. The hotel room itself was amazing. As soon as I walked in I took a bunch of photos and posted on Facebook because I felt it was cooler than my apartment. I did not order the breakfast but I did have coffee from the café. There’s a few cute diners and photo shops down the street. There’s a dog café and a cat café not far from the hotel. Staff was very friendly. I had a teatime at intercontinental (which was a droll vibe), and I’m glad I chose not to stay there. I feel that Indigo gives a great value for the money and the design specialists were really detailed-oriented with some of the things they included in the rooms. Facilities were great. View was nice. Go see for yourself.
GGuest UserThis hotel was excellent for a solo traveller. I can foresee some inconvenience if it was a couple or 2 friends staying here as there the bathroom is pretty much an open concept. i.e. would need to get changed inside the shower booth before coming out etc, and no proper door except a semi-opaque glass door.
Having said, I was by myself for my stay so it was perfect room for me. Bed is comfy, place was clean.
They have this machine check-in system which works fine, but I was a bit taken aback initially as I had to scan qr code, get internet and do things myself while just having reached the place with luggage etc. Not a biggie but would have been nice if the staff could check me in or offered a bit more help since there wasn't any other guests there either.
I didn't use any other facilities but during the day the lobby operates as a cafe, and there is a laundry room in B1. Location is convenient and near Kaohsiung train station, the station is currently going through a big construction so if I had known, I probably would have chosen to stay somewhere near Formosa Boulevard instead given it has 2 MRT lines. But hotel-wise, it is near the station and have convenience stores/fast food options in walking distance.
KKarieirakHotel staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. We managed to get two rooms side by side which is a plus point. Every floor has a water dispenser which is very useful if we need hot water. There is a laundry room on the third floor with free washing powder to use. Breakfast buffet on the second floor was really great, my family loves the variety of the food provided and everyday some of the items will be changed too. Hotel is located in between Kaohsiung station and Formosa Boulevard station. Currently there are renovation going on at Kaohsiung station which cause a slight detour if we were to walk over there. Walking time are both around 10mins. Overall we are really satisfied with the stay.
陈陈浪宁I enjoyed my stay tremendously and at awe of the level of service from all the staff of this hotel. From the bellhop to the concierge to the maid, everyone here is professional and courteous only the highest class hotels in the US can match. Here they are doing it without expectations of tips...
I traveled solo and as a single guy and not expecting much. I am surprised at the service and comfort I got that are exceeding my expectations.
KKimMy experience at the hotel was truly delightful. The service surpassed my expectations; the staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive throughout my stay. The facilities were not only well-maintained but also offered a range of amenities that contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
This hotel has consistently been my favorite due to its exceptional service, well-equipped facilities, and delectable dining options. It continues to be my preferred choice whenever I am in need of a memorable and pleasant stay in Kaohsiung.
GGuest UserAirline Inn is right outside the Kaohsiung Station with public transportation accessible to all over the city and adjacent cities. Artistically decorated and ergonomically designed, our room has the lav separated from a large showroom and toilet. USBs and light switches are conveniently located within a well thought out nightlight. Pillows and sheets are new and of high quality. The room design provides several counter spaces to hold luggages unlike most other hotels. The breakfast is typical of Chinese that we love but may not for Westerners.
The only issue we had was the little chaos and detour in front of the hotel duo to the walkway construction and the Kaohsiung station construction. Once completed the hotel would be solid 4-star rated. Regardless, Airline Inn is a great choice for Kaohsiung travelers.
SShie HwangCU hotel is a new hotel, reception is fully AI but if you need help, the receptionist will attend to you over the phone and even comes down to your room quickly! it is less than 10mins walk from kaohsiung station and right beside the clothing district for easy shopping! they also gave a complimentary snack! within walking distance to breakfast shops on the other end of the road, around 15min walk to san feng middle street to shop for dried goods. initially sound proof isnt good but overnight remained quite. laundromat and dryer services are cheap at TWD 35 each and packet detergent at TWD 10 if i remember correctly. will definitely stay here again!
清清涼上市!It was close to the MRT station, you could take the U-Bike, and there was a famous breakfast restaurant within walking distance, so it was a convenient location for sightseeing.
If you stay for multiple nights, they don't clean the room, and you have to ask the front desk to change your bath towels. There was no refill of tea or water, but there was a water server on the top floor, so I used that.
The water in the shower room didn't get hot enough unless I let it run for a while.

GGuest UserHaving stayed at both Grand Hotels in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the Taipei location is hands down the premier location. The Grand Hotel in Taipei is genuinely a delightful establishment, perhaps my favorite hotel in all of Taiwan. However, the same cannot be said for the Kaohsiung location. It is clearly secondary and even a bit neglected. The hotel and its accommodations are fairly nice but at the same time feel quite outdated. The location is relaxing though, if you want to be able to sit by a pool or on a balcony looking out at a lake. Probably the biggest disappointment of my stay was that I was denied entry to the dinner buffet. People who were not guests at the hotel had already reserved all the seats. Luckily, I was able to secure a seat at a different restaurant in the hotel. I think hotel guests should have priority for seats at the buffet. When I was denied access to the buffet it felt like I was being treated as a second class citizen. “Everyone here has reservations…” the hostess told me. Well… how many of them were actually staying at the hotel? From what I could tell, not many of them were.
HhakimabdrahimOverall it was a decent budget hotel. I really like the location it’s easy to access and a lot of Halal eateries around there. I recommend booking this hotel if you are in Kaohsiung!
