Zion was the last stop on our Utah Mighty 5 vacation. We were looking forward to our 3 night stay at Zion Mountain Ranch and having convenient access to Zion National Park and the amazing trails. We ended up leaving a day early as we were disappointed with the property and did not want to stay another night. As mentioned in other reviews (I should have read those before booking!), the entrance to Zion National Park is only a few miles from the ranch - but that is to the East entrance and you have a good 40-60 minute drive to reach the visitors center where the shuttles operate. While we understood that staying in a cabin is somewhat "rustic", the furnishings were dated and worn, and could use a deep cleaning along with the entire cabin - especially the bathroom. On both mornings, there was a cluster of spiders in the tub. There was a coffee maker in the room along with sweeteners, cups, etc. but no coffee. I asked at the front desk and was told that they were having an issue with a supplier but I could get a cup in the restaurant (along with ice as there are no ice machines available to guests) when they opened at 7am. The first morning I did stop by to get a cup of coffee and had to wait 15 minutes to even get acknowledged by staff. This really puts you behind if you are trying to get to the park early. The accommodations were not where they should be based on the price paid. I would not recommend Zion Mountain Ranch.
