Zion was the last stop on our Utah Mighty 5 vacation. We were looking forward to our 3 night stay at Zion Mountain Ranch and having convenient access to Zion National Park and the amazing trails. We ended up leaving a day early as we were disappointed with the property and did not want to stay another night. As mentioned in other reviews (I should have read those before booking!), the entrance to Zion National Park is only a few miles from the ranch - but that is to the East entrance and you have a good 40-60 minute drive to reach the visitors center where the shuttles operate. While we understood that staying in a cabin is somewhat "rustic", the furnishings were dated and worn, and could use a deep cleaning along with the entire cabin - especially the bathroom. On both mornings, there was a cluster of spiders in the tub. There was a coffee maker in the room along with sweeteners, cups, etc. but no coffee. I asked at the front desk and was told that they were having an issue with a supplier but I could get a cup in the restaurant (along with ice as there are no ice machines available to guests) when they opened at 7am. The first morning I did stop by to get a cup of coffee and had to wait 15 minutes to even get acknowledged by staff. This really puts you behind if you are trying to get to the park early. The accommodations were not where they should be based on the price paid. I would not recommend Zion Mountain Ranch.

Located just outside the East side of Zion National Park, it was a perfect place to rest between our full hiking days in the park. The cabins are clean, comfortable and affordable. The views are breathtaking and sunsets. Enjoyed my morning coffee on the porch, actually anytime of the day. Make sure you chose your cabin and make a reservation well in advance. Try their restaurant called Cordwood. Fresh, delicious food.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights while exploring Zion. We had a cabin on the north side of the road and it was clean and very quiet at night. I really liked the front porch swing; the ranch dog and some mule deer both came to visit! We did a trail ride at the ranch that was very nice. We did not eat at the restaurant - we mostly ate in Springdale or at the Lodge in the park. Having the mini fridge and microwave was great for snacks and leftovers. Perfect if you want scenic quiet!

Our flights were cancelled when Southwest Airlines computers crashed so we were unable to go to Zion Mounyain Ranch. They said that they would keep our deposit forever and we could use it on a future stay. They lied. When I called to make a new reservation they told me theere was no way for them to talk to the finance dept and that I could not call them either. There is no phone to the finance dept and that I had to send an email to the finance dept. So I sent 3 emails to them and they never responded. They are liers. I booked our next vacation at East Zion Resort instead.

The ranch in itself is beautiful. Our lodge had the bison view although the bison never came by (they did show up near the restaurant) it was still beautiful especially at sunset. We stayed in lodge 146. The cabin had a fully stocked kitchen with a standard fridge, an oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. We also had a washer and dyer (fyi bring your own detergent cause the one offered is a little cheap). The lodge had 2 big bedrooms and a loft with 6 beds. The beds were ok. I brought my blanket and I am glad I did because it got cold at night. The tvs didn’t have a working Netflix but we borrowed some dvds from the front desk. The dvd player in the bedroom didn’t work but it wasn’t a big deal. We did the horseback ride with Kyle and he was very kind and pleasant. he made us feel comfortable with the horses. All the staff was very nice and friendly. the bonfire outside the office was also pretty cool especially with Mr Lokota singing and playing his drum. I would come back again.

Zion Mountan Ranch (ZMR) is a luxury Ranch offering Block Houses on the East Side, 4km away, from Zion Mountain Park. The East Side is the silent Side entrance and the Ranch gives you impressive views, Ranch Life and Luxury Accomodation. We can really recommend it for everyone searching for a Break on your Trip and enjoy a Ranch but still with todays luxury Standard.

We just spent three nights at Zion Mountain Resort. The front desk staff was welcoming and set a nice tone for our stay. Our cabin was clean with comfortable beds, a table and chairs to spread out maps and reading material and a little kitchen for breakfast in the morning and to make sandwiches for our hikes. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch for morning coffee and watching the stars appear at night. Dinner and service at the Cordwood was good with fresh ingredients and friendly service. After dinner we sat by the campfire and enjoyed the vistas. The location was convenient for visiting the park or going East to see the Coral Pink Sand dunes. Buffalo were munching grass as we left. We had a relaxing vacation. Tips..bring some silverware and paper plate and bowls.

We have just had a fantastic two nights at the Zion Mountain Ranch. What a great experience. The staff were so helpful, wonderful views from our lodge watching the buffalo roam the plain, a great restaurant for evening meal and breakfast and even arranged horse riding which was wonderful.
