The hotel is over a hundred years old, since 1844. I felt as though I went through a time portal when I stepped into the dining area. Part of the hotel’s appeal is the history of the hotel. Don’t expect a modern hotel but rather embrace the well-detailed history on display throughout the hotel.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The room was clean and comfortable. Sitting in the lobby and around the swimming pool is very comfortable, you can be in a daze all day long! The surrounding environment is very good. W15 was a fantastic experience that it's even hard to put into words. We came for 2 nights and everything was flawless and outstanding: the views, the room, the music, the food, and most specially, the people and the amazing hospitality. Since we arrived, Sheriff, Tharaka, Hastha and Premod were truly professional, kind and would solve anything we asked for. They never gave us a ”no” as an answer. Even when my husband asked if by any chance there was anyone who could get him a haircut in the hotel, they did everything and managed to find a hairdresser from town to come and cut his hair. Other examples: I asked if they had apples, and instead of giving me a ”no” as an answer, they went to get some. I asked if they had dry cleaning service and they coordinated everything so they could send it to a speciallized place in town. We have so many other examples in which they were always making their best to delight us, and they succeeded, exceeding all of our expectations. The property is simply beautiful. You almost feel like you're in a retreat. We were lucky we had to do ”homeoffice” so we had the opportunity of staying in the hotel the entire time and enjoy the calm and feeling of being at home. Thank you SO much W15. Looking forward on coming back again (hopefully soon!)

The hotel is actually a family hotel, not far from the city, but on the mountain. The hotel room is large and clean, with a large balcony, the bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is very good. The only problem is that there is no dry and wet separation. The breakfast at the hotel is quite satisfactory, with fruit, bread, jam and butter. There are many choices for dinner and the taste is also good. The most noteworthy thing is the service. Both the boss and the employees are very enthusiastic and always smile.

Our stay at the Jetwing Kandy Gallery was truly delightful. The hotel is beautifully located beside the river, offering a calm and natural atmosphere that makes for a perfect getaway. Our butler, Sakuna, provided exceptional service, attending to our every need and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. We were also pleased to meet the General Manager, Mr. Dilip Kumar, who personally reached out to us and made our stay even more memorable. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and the breakfast offered a great selection of delicious items. The Kandy Gallery Suite we stayed in was spacious and luxurious, featuring a large jacuzzi that added an extra touch of relaxation. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The swimming pool also offered a beautiful view, overlooking the serene Mahaweli River. Overall, Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a wonderful retreat with excellent service and a picturesque setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature in Kandy.

EEnglish RoseMisty Hills Villa Kadugannawa boasts the most incredible view over local mountains, best enjoyed if you are taking a cooling dip in the (small, but perfectly positioned) infinity pool! My husband and I were very well looked after during our short stay. The hotel staff served lovely breakfasts, organised two dinners for us and booked a tuk tuk for a day trip to Kandy. They also surprised me with a beautiful little cake on my birthday and even sang to me! The only small points I would make is that the dinners are not actually cooked on site - and that the staff did not offer to clean or make up our bedroom during our 3 night stay. Nevertheless, much kindness and warmth was demonstrated towards us and we loved the rural position of the property.

The rooms are open to a balcony and it is a treat to have tea viewing the magnificent mountains..
The level of hospitality matches the famed Celonese hospitality
and will be remembered for long and a must experience in Sri Lanka visit..

We had an amazing Stay. Nothing to complain about. Very hospitable staff always catering to your needs and friendly. It was full during our stay but they always made sure to check in on us without any partiality. The view from our room was stunning and the food was great! highly recommend this hotel to foreigners as well as Lankans. Ps. Got a chance to chat with the owner of the hotel and got to know that they are environment friendly no plastic wastage and also use bio gas.

MMorrisThe bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

WWanxiangouyangzhenKangti is a mountain city, and the houses are basically built on the mountain. This hotel is actually like a resort, by the river, there are no attractions and no residents next to it. The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. At night, the hotel is dark and dark, and find a small supermarket to buy something at least three kilometers away. The accommodation building seems to be three or four floors. There is a small swimming pool in the garden. Sitting on the balcony, the eyes are full of green mountain and garden views. Come out early in the morning and take a mobile phone to take a photo of 20 different flowers! The fly in the ointment is that the facilities in the room are old.

Fortunately, we cannot confirm the older reviews. Apparently the management has changed. Hot water and wifi are fine. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is great. It is right opposite the famous ”Temple of the Tooth”. From some rooms (unfortunately only a few) you have a direct view! Rooms without a direct view of the temple can use an extra shared balcony. The hotel's restaurant also has a beautiful view of the temple. That's really great. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the city. However, we still preferred to take the tuk tuk. HHUIThe hotel is located in the center of Kandy, near the Kandy Lake. The English communication at the front desk is no problem. The rooms are in good condition. The facilities are newer. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers.

GGuest UserThe small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.

GGuest UserGood budget hotel, slap bang in the middle of the city but surprisingly the rooms are quiet as they are situated at the back. Booked room only so cannot comment on the hotel food, but plenty of eating places around and just 10 minutes to the Railway station. The entrance to the hotel can be crowded as it is with the pavement and there are street hawkers selling goods, but safe all the same and you get lots of cheap stuff that you can buy along the pavement. The hotel rooms are rather small but have the basic amenities in place and should be ok for couples. This hotel has easy access to the ATM nachines, supermarkets and bakeries. The shopping center is very close and even the historical sights light the Temple of the tooth is walking distance. Parking may be a problem for those coming in vehicles although I am sure the Hotel can arrange this for you. Please check though before booking. All in all a good stay, no hassles.
