Hotels Near Gokurakuji Station in Kamakura

Youth hostel is a chain brand. I have lived in Takamatsu and have a very good impression! So don't hesitate to book this time. The hostel is very close to Eriden's Yurihama Station and the seaside! The location was convenient to the sights of Kamakura, the history of the Inn was quite interesting, the staff and service were wonderful, the traditional breakfast was delicious, and the bath was quite nice. The facilities are very nice, and the price is reasonable. I would highly recommend staying there. For dinner we went to Katsunuma-Tei Kamakura just up the street. It is a small French style Japanese curry restaurant, and the couple who own it and cook and serve are so friendly and accommodating. The menu is small, and the food is exquisite.

Chose this place because of the price and the offer of Mount Fuji view. Certainly the view did not disappoint us, love the sea view and Mount Fuji. Room was spacious and the layout was nice though dated to some extent. The grounds looks like it need some sprucing and maintenance work. Checkin was efficient though parking came with a price. Maybe hotel should consider free parking for guests as most would be driving to get to this area. We ate at the Japanese restaurant though you had to walk in the rain on the day we were there as the restaurant was located on a annex building. Food was good and service was fine but on the higher end of prices. I like the neighbourhood vibe, there is a supermarket, hardware/pharmacy and bakery within walking distance from the hotel. There are a few restaurants by the beach and we tried the Pacific place. Prices of food along the beach are much more reasonable. Would stay here again except that traffic along this stretch of road is very bad as it is only a one lane road and traffic lights at almost every junction. Be prepare for a long and slow drive between hotel to town.

鎌倉は十分に日帰りできる場所なのですが、ちょっと気分を替えたくて一泊してみました。このホテルの一番のウリはロケーションだと思います。JRと江ノ電の鎌倉駅から5分少々。メジャーな小町通りとは反対側の御成通り商店街沿いにあるので、周囲に飲食店や雑貨屋さんなど楽しいお店がある一方で、小町通りほど人通りが多くなく、静かで落ち着いた印象。由比ガ浜まで徒歩15分くらい、朝市（8時から）をやっている野菜市場からも近く、朝の散歩がおすすめです。 あまり期待していなかったけれども、大浴場が思ったよりも広く、人の少ない時間を狙って入ったので、ゆっくりできたのがとても良かったです。 良くなかった点としては、お部屋からの眺望が残念な感じだったこと。駅近くの商店街＆住宅街の中に建っているので当たり前なんですが、4階の部屋なら少しは周囲がみられるのでしょうか。自分が泊まったのは1階で、窓を開けると普通に道路に面していたので、カーテン替わりの障子を開けることはできず、昼間でもいつも薄暗いなと思いました。 また、ホテルのHPを見るとベッドが窓にぴったりくっついているレイアウトが多そうで、自分の部屋もそうだったのですが、これが寒かった...！ロールアップカーテンをおろしても冷気が窓から来て、その冷気がダイレクトに肩を冷やす...。エアコンよりも毛布をもう一枚欲しかったです。 部屋自体はコンパクトだけれど必要なものは揃っていて快適に過ごせますが、自分の満足度が低いのは恐らく1人で泊まったので料金の割高感が否めないせいかもしれません。このクラスのホテルで1泊1万8000円払って朝食なしって、少し前なら考えられなかった気がします。ホテル代上がりましたよね…。（朝食を別途お願いすると和定食or洋定食1600円ぐらい）鎌倉は全体的にホテル代が高いので仕方ないのかもしれません。次回泊まるかといえば、微妙。部屋の設備に不満はないけれども、料金に見合っているか？という点から考えると疑問なので、星は3つとさせていただきます。

I stayed at this hotel close to Kamakura Station this time on a day trip in Kamakura after a long time. The weather was good and I was looking forward to the next day's Kamakura walk. The hotel is really close to the Ofuna station with lots of restaurants around. We were pleasantly surprised that our rooms were upgraded when checked in. The bed was comfortable and excellent for our short stay near Kamakura.

We stayed overnight and used it for 1 nights. QR code was sent by email from the reservation to the day before the stay, and check-in was made smoothly and smoothly at check-in. When I told you that I wanted a room away from the elevator at the time of booking, I was grateful to have a corner room properly. I think it was good to have a lot of amenities such as bathing agents, cosmetic water and beauty liquid. The room was not large or not, and the bed was large and I was able to stretch my body and rest after a long time. The wind volume can be adjusted for the air conditioner, but I couldn't set the wind direction and swing, and I cut it and went to bed because it was uncomfortable. One thing I didn't like was that. It was a strong price setting of about 14500 yen for a night stay because it was during the consecutive holiday. I had no inn nearby, so I had to make a reservation, but I couldn't feel anything that was just right for the price.
