The Scandic Kalmar West has everything you need. Although it was situated outside the centre of Kalmar, there was an excellent bus connection to Kalmar and the surrounding area.

One of our worst experience ever in a hotel. Can’t recommend it at all. Filthy, over priced, bad bed, uncleaned.

Small family room. Rooms were quite warm in the night, and there was no air conditioner. No fridge. Parking was free. There was a small pool and sauna also some small playroom for the kids. There was a lot of white 'chalk' from the water in the bathroom floors.

Very friendly staff, quick check in, dog friendly, nice little indoor pool, a lot of parking space. Overall a good hotel to stop at along they way!

A nice hotel but nothing exceptional. The restaurant is okay if you're hungry and just want to eat but not a place to enjoy a meal. The bar isn't a bar, they just have bottles in a fridge with "drinks", don't take the mojito, it doesn't taste like a mojito. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice but the toilet smells like it hasn't been flushed in a while.

First room what we get was very dirty, there was black hairs on the bed, dust and small debris everywhere. Then we get new room but it was same. Hairs, dust and small debris everywhere. Rooms wasn’t cleaned properly at least 6 months! Also there is indoor air problem.

Good location with only a couple of minutes drive over the bridge to Öland. Friendly staff. No AC in the rooms so can be hot in the summer and noisy if you open the window due to the high traffic on the highway which goes just outside. Very dogfriendly hotell with dogs allowed in certain areas even at the breakfast. Good walking area just outside for you and your dog. Comparing price with renting a cabin at Öland we found the prices similar so stayed at the hotell and took the car over the bridge instead. Will definitly stay here again if / when we revisit Öland

La chambre était à peine nettoyée (impossible de marcher pieds nus), pas assez de papier toilette (nous avons dû aller dans les toilettes communes). Le PDJ est à 90% des produits longue conservation, pain de supermarché sous plastique…etc… Emplacement au bord de l’autoroute.
