The boys of the family were lovely and there was a lovely view from the balcony. The bed was like a brick, under the bed was filthy. Dust from years past and broken glass. The bathroom was dirty and extremely shabby and dangerous. The shower crumbled and they replaced the head, which didn’t fit the shower cable so water gushed from the bottom of the screw and dribbled out of the shower head. Water was either too hot or cold. Trip hazards galore in the loft apartment. If you are taller than 4 ft with any difficulties with stairs and steps, do not book this loft apartment. There were very low ceilings where you’re constantly at risk of banging your head. Odd level steps and floor coving with pointed edges to stub your toes on. Other than in the bedroom, there was no aircon, so we couldn’t use the rest of the apartment for more than a few seconds as it was scorching hot 🥵 We kept the curtains shut to try to prevent the heat coming in without success. We didn’t feel comfortable complaining whilst we were there, as the owner appeared quite confrontational. We ended up spending our time elsewhere to ensure we were comfortable during the day and evenings. We used someone else’s room on our last day and found it to be 100% nicer. The apartment block is in a very sad state and needs a lot of work before anyone should consider staying there.

Lovely warm welcome for us dropping by for a pre dinner cocktail. Enjoyed our first visit and yummy cocktails s we popped in for a second visit. The owner wasn’t around on our second visit but his young stand ins were very able and made the two gorgeous cocktails in the photos

We booked the top floor apartment, this turned out to be filthy, with heavy mould in the shower and toilet area no bath mat or towels changed in the 4 days we were there, and the toilet brush holder was disgusting. The bed was broken, as was the electric hot plate(dangerous) broken sun lounger, broken window sill on the balcony area with jagged concrete protruding. The patio cushions were worn out and rust stained .The breakfast is served on cracked and chipped crockery. The owner is over friendly, almost to the point of being intrusive, you have to be part of his click. In the mornings, the dirty glasses, plates etc from the night before are still left out on the bar .We left as soon as we could re locate.

My husband and I had the most wonderful 2 weeks here all thanks to Mehmet and his team. The room whilst basic was spotlessly clean and had a new air conditioning unit. Rooms were cleaned daily and bedding/towels changed regularly. Papermoon is about a 10 minute walk away from the old town but has plenty of local restaurants on the doorstep too. The One and The Brothers were particular favourites. Papermoon feels safe, friendly and welcoming … it’s also really quiet at night so we slept soundly :). Recommend the home made gins. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We can’t wait to return.
