In the heart of Kalkan. Just out of the hotel and the marina is in front of you and the restaurants feet away. Five minutes to the pebbly beach. We were in the block opposite the pool on the fourth floor with a magnificent view of the marina and hotel pool. Comfy room and spotlessly clean. The call to prayer from the mosque was VERY loud but hey this is a Muslim country. It was noisy at night, some more than others but we took ear plugs which muffled the noise and even more if we closed the window and door. Breakfast was good. The pools were crystal clear. Sun beds were sometimes in short supply and it's a matter of if you can't beat em join em. The Brits are worse than the Germans. Some are up at first light ready basted and laying like oven ready turkeys for the whole day. Staff were all lovely and helpful.

First time visiting Kalkan, so glad we stayed at this gem that is the Hotel Pirat! The hotel rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Couldn't fault breakfast, lots of options and very tasty, big shout out to Ozzy and the staff, lovely chats each morning. Hava at reception was lovely and so helpful. Also massive shout out to Reggae, George and Ahmed at the pool bar who kept us entertained the whole holiday! Hotel is in a great location, central to the town, restaurants and beach clubs. We did eat in the hotel a couple of times and it was lovely and great value for money! Would definitely return :)

Parat hotel was very good with friendly staff. The room we had was not to big but felt bigger due to plenty storage. The towels were changed every day and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good with a good variety of bread, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereals,or you could an omelette made in front of you with your own filling by the chef. The pool area was really nice with plenty of sun beds. The pool bar was great with friendly staff and was well stocked with drink and food, and lots of seats in the shade if you wanted a restbite from the heat of the sun. Great hotel. Kalkan resort itself is very hilly and not very good if you are not very steady on your feet. I have never seen so many restaurants in such a small resort but again, the eating area is usually two flights up onto the top floor for the views, but there are restaurants on a lot of the small lanes with tables outside. The food in most of the restaurants were cooked to a high standard but this year we found it expensive especially when you include the price of your drinks. Would we go back to Kalkan probably yes, but a word of warning , there are a lot of dogs and cats which are allowed it seems to wander the streets and restaurants, most are very friendly but I did not like them in the same place as we were eating . These dogs were on the streets all night and we were kept awake with the barking and fighting

I have just had the best experience at this hotel. Every staff member is helpful and friendly. George and Ahmed at the bar are a delight Ozzie at breakfast is amazing we had the best time Our room was in the annex over the street but was cleaned everyday and our view was lovely watching the boats come and go. It’s quite near to a mosque so you will defo hear the call to prayer at 5.40am but you get used to it. Absolute gem will be back next year 100%

We had a lovely stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and up for fun. Rooms and the rest of the hotel is clean. Pools are good. Breakfast buffet is lovely and plenty of variety. Dinner on the other hand, you have set menu to choose from chicken, beef , fish and pasta dishes, shame is all food taste the same. And very salty! Sides dishes served are tasty and very nice. Shame is that smokers sit with non smokers, not nice when you eating.

I ignored the reviews about it being noisy. Wish I hadn’t. This hotel is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in! If you’re going with young children or looking for a quiet, relaxing hotel, this is not the place music every night from all manner of bars clubs until gone 2 AM in the morning. We arrived on a Monday where the hotel bar has live music until approximately 2 AM. Whilst the hotel were happy for us to move to a quieter room there are in fact, no quiet rooms in this hotel! It appeared to be the norm for people to be changing rooms on a daily basis. Rooms are your basic three star hotel, food is at best average. Cheap and cheerful is what you get. The pool staff is something out of Fawlty Towers I speak more for the two older gentleman at poolside, One thought he was Tom Cruise in cocktail, and the other was with a slight attitude. On the upside, the town itself is lovely in a very picturesque area of turkey lovely views from the hotel Beautiful restaurants in the Harbour. I will return to the area, but definitely will not be returning to this hotel.
