Hotels Near Shinnyoen Kagoshimashibu in Kagoshima

It is a stay with GOTO children. The appearance is an old and small business hotel, but it was comfortable inside. We stayed at the zashiki. It is very good that the hot water pot is installed in a high place that the child can't reach, and the bathroom is surprisingly large. Also, when I arrived, I gave my child a little toy. After receiving it, if you had another color good, you would have come to the front desk quickly, and you would have a different color. It was very nice and really appreciated. Also, breakfast is delicious. You can choose chicken rice or fish tea pickles or curry, and you come out with mori salad and baked fish. I was very satisfied from the morning. The Astronomical Museum is also within walking distance. I will choose this place when I go to Kagoshima City again.

It is located in Tenmonkan, close to the downtown area. There are several affiliated parking lots nearby, and if you do not need to take your car in and out, you can park for 800 yen per night. The rooms are also well-cleaned and very clean. Amenities are available at the front desk. The disposable toothbrushes are of good quality compared to other hotels.

The public bath uses Fine Ten Water, and those with sensitive skin will feel the effects immediately. I also found Refa's shower head to be very comfortable to use, probably because the water pressure was higher than what I use at home. Use the hair dryer and your styling will look better than usual. Also, the room was equipped with a clothes deodorizer, and I was curious about this home appliance, so I was glad I was able to try it out. People who go to yakiniku etc. for dinner will probably find it very popular. The rooms are comfortable, but the public bath is recommended.

Hotel is quite a distance from the Kagoshima station. As there were 4 adults, we decided to cab upon arrival. With 4 luggage’s it was abit challenging, 2L and 2M luggage sizes. Thankfully our cab driver allowed one of us to hold the lighter luggage in our lap and took us all to the hotel. Leaving we encountered a very rude taxi driver outside the hotel. He bullied us and took one luggage and put into his trunk. Signalled another cab to come pick the rest of us and literally threw our second luggage to the other cab. Shocked us. He insisted only 2 passengers and one luggage and demanded ¥1,000 fare not meter. Very very bad experience with Japanese taxi driver outside Kagoshima Washington hotel. Hotel wise staff tried very hard to converse in English and very helpful as we arrived on New Year’s Eve. Room was small and clean.

The hotel is a short distance from the Shinkansen station,( trolley stop N11). Take the trolley to N8 . The breakfast was very good and the burgers are great for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Waki, who was a great help for me applying for a visa.

Second use. A hotel where you can spend a perfectly comfortable time with the cleanliness of the room, the large communal bath and breakfast from the correspondence of the lobby. A hotel that makes me happy to stay comfortably with the morning greetings of the cleaning staff.

This is a new hotel with bunk beds which can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. The beds were spacious and a good size. We stayed in the executive bunk family room which can accommodate 6 persons. It may be a bit tight for 6 persons but just right for our family of 4. There is full size washing machine cum dryer in the room which is very useful for washing our clothes. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast with a good spread but as there is no dining area, you need to pack your breakfast into bento boxes and eat them in your room. But we saw a sign which says breakfast will be separately charged from Jan 2024 onwards. Now, breakfast is complimentary and included in the room rate. The hotel also does not have car park but there is more then sufficient coin parking right next door which cost 600 yen from 2000 to 800. The location is quite central and a short 5-10 min drive to Tenmonkan. There is also a good ramen restaurant across the road from the hotel, Rai Rai Tei which is worth trying. Just a tip, we got a much better room rate on Rakuten than the usual Agoda, *********** sites.

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

There aren't many reviews, so I'll give it a try if the location and the price are cheap. The point is that his house doesn’t clean the room every day! ! ! It is a seven or eight-minute walk from the JR platform. It is on the other side of the railway track, so you need to drag your suitcase around the railway track. On the way, you will pass Yamagataya Supermarket (which sells snow-branded extra-thick milk, and Wagyu beef at 50% off after 6 o'clock) and a local supermarket. The hotel is close to the bus. Station town is closer. The hotel is quite new. The room is spacious. It should not be smaller than 17. The 30-inch suitcase can be spread out and you can walk normally. There is a place to put things at the door. The toilet is also large. The TV is big and the Internet is very fast. You can pick up disposable slippers downstairs. Toothbrush coffee, no skin care products for girls, free coffee machine and microwave. When it comes to service, the Japanese store clerks are quite polite. There was a blond female store clerk with a very average attitude. She told me that the cleaning rule is that there will be free cleaning of the whole house only on the fourth day after check-in. During the two days, only free towel changes and garbage disposal. I said that is not the case. Yesterday, no one came to collect the garbage. She only received a pack of new towels. She said she didn't understand what it meant. It was speechless. The water is not replenished every day. One person checked in and received two bottles of water. The next day, he asked the front desk for two bottles, otherwise there would be none. The water was not replenished on the third day. The overall cost-effectiveness is good. If it is much cheaper than the hotel at JR station, you can try it. If it is similar, you can make your own decision.

Hotel is a bit far from train station but they do provide free shuttle bus service. The hot springs bath is located on the top floor with good view of the volcano mountain. You can enjoy the views while taking the bath. There are also many shopping and entertainment complexes close by.
