Hotels Near Bukit Tiz Shrine in Johor Bahru

Arrived at the hotel at 4pm and check in process was smooth. Given bag of remote control tv and aircond. Wifi was good. Put deposit rm50. Room smell good bedsheet was clean. But the bathroom door cannot close. But its okay because i just stay for one night. The aircond was good but i dont know how to use the tv 🤣. Many mamak restaurant nearby and close to AEON. Checkout process smooth and return deposit. Tq to receiptionist.

We just came back from a weekend birthday staycation. Our stay at Renaissance Hotel was a very comfortable one and the staff were extremely thoughtful to prepare a surprise setup in our room - complete with balloons, a printed birthday message with even little heart shapes, as well as a tasty slice of birthday cake and handwritten card! We were very touched by this gesture; thank you so much! Their breakfast buffet was also better than expected - great variety and good taste!

Love the people at the front desk, they are always so happy and friendly. Check-in took a bit longer than usual but the staff were very apologetic. I stayed in the Urban room at level 12 facing the highway and river. To my surprise it was rather quiet I can’t really hear the traffic. Morning breakfast at level 6 was pretty crowded. The next morning I just went down earlier and it was great. The girls at breakfast were always happy to welcome us… keep it up 👍

This was a staycation and we booked an executive twin with ‘2 large single beds’ as advertised, but the room was very small, so were the beds. Although rather well-appointed in terms of furnishings, there just isn’t quite enough space for 2 adults and a pre-teen child to roam. The tv is also smaller usual. There is no breakfast provided but the street that the hotel is located at has some options, but not where I would go for breakfast. The Mount Austin theme park is nearby, but if that’s where you’re heading, I’d assume you would like more space and comfort to chill out after an entire day of play.

love this hotel! one of the best and cleanest hotel in jb. altho it is abit far from the usual hotspots i.e. KSL mall, city square, etc, i will definitely book again because i can just take a cab :)

The check in was slightly early around 230pm. Was given 15 floor and the room was clean just the that the shower knobs need to replace. The breakfast was good. Hope to return again……

The hotel was near the checkpoint so it was very convenient to travel into singapore. The room was very spacious but it would be nice if they provided a full length mirror. The front desk was very friendly and the area was bustling so there are many food options or you can also opt for delivery. Would definitely recommend!

It's our 5th time over here in our favourite hotel in Johor Bahru. We simply just lurve to do StayCation over here in Amari, Johor Bahru. Everything was okay and smooth except for the toilet flush which operates on a slow mode. We are definitely being patient on the usage as most of the time as we are always outside. Lurve and missing out the breakfast as it has been 3 months since our last stay over here. Both my mum and myself are definitely enjoying ourselves and we are looking forward to be back over here for our next StayCation in Johor Bahru once again. The hotel staff is very welcoming and helpfull. Thank you to Executive Puan Sarimah Sapwi on your kind helpfull. I was here attending company training. What I want to say is it the ballroom is very spacious and comfort. The room ia a sound proof. The food is very good and deliciuos. It is variety and very tastefully. The High tea also very good especially a mee goreng mamak. Overal is very good.

I really nice spacious room, we stayed in 307, which is a one-bed room apartment, please note there are smaller rooms. this is really good if you are staying for a few days, large living room with an induction cooker, toaster, microwave, and fridge. They also included plates and bowls. for cooking equipment and glassware, you will need to contact housekeeping, i stayed only 2 nights so i didn't bother. one big pet peeve was that the dish provided was too big for the microwave, so please heat up your food in the containers before plating them. Both the microwave and fridge worked well, it made ice in around 2 to 3 hours. the shower was great, with constant temperature and good water pressure. the bedroom lacked a TV only the TV was in the living room, so that was a bummer, the room was also a bit noisy as i think there is a family of birds living in the air-con compressor so if you are a light sleeper, you want to give this a miss. The road outside can also get noisy at all hours. The nightlife is interesting, with quite a few bars and restaurants, and lots of motorized scooter rental stores, this does have quite a big issue with me, with alot of teens and kids zooming up and down the harbor at night, it does get dangerous for families with smaller kids. The selling point of this place is its proximity to Legoland, unfortunately, it is a tad hard to get a Grabcar (a rideshare service like Uber) because at the moment the area is not as busy as it was pre-covid. i see families waiting 30mins to an hour to get a car. If you drive, there is an underground carpark (complimentary). The most disappointing was the breakfast, not enough food, and they were unable to cope with the number of people. they struggled to fill coffee pots, juice dispensers, cut fruits, and bread. once something came out, it was gone in minutes. Overall, I would recommend this place for families, just skip the breakfast and make something in the room.
