Stayed here for 2 nights. It is well-located on the side of the ancient town, allowing us to reach the main sights of Shaxi within 5-10mins walk. Easy with the luggages too if you are arriving in a car which can stop right at the main door. The suite was huge with separate living area, bathroom and had a nice wooden decor. Although it’s already been operating for many years, it felt brand new! Hotel compound itself was beautiful with an airy garden setting. We enjoyed taking breakfasts & afternoon tea at the outdoor benches by the dining hall. Even though it was fully-booked on one of the days, it never felt crowded at all. Staff were courteous, always smiling and happy to offer their services or advice. This is a property one should definitely consider if intending to spend more days in Shaxi & the neighbouring area, so that you could enjoy the hotel itself.

This hotel is a gem in Shaxi Town and should not be missed. We are happy to have had the opportunity to stay for 1 night, and only wished we had more days in Shaxi. The hotel is in a beautifully restored ancestral home, with rooms that are modern and beautifully appointed with a lot of thoughtful amenities provided. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The hotel staff from the ladies at the front desk to housekeeping were really friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations on what to see and where to eat in Shaxi. We appreciated the extra touches such as having warm milk brought to our rooms as a nightcap. Special thanks to Yan Yan who took care of us on our last day and was also our teacher in the Jia Ma wood printing experience. We had a great time during the experience and left Shaxi with a special souvenir.

I like Shaxi so much! The hotel service is good. When we arrived at the ancient city, they helped us carry our luggage 🧳. We also upgraded to a king-size bed room. The weather was cold, but the electric heating baseboards were turned on and the whole room was still very warm! The welcome fruit was apples, which were very sweet. I recommend everyone to come on Fridays. The market is fun and the things are super cheap! The mango is super big and costs 10 yuan for 3 pounds! The beef is also delicious! The persimmon cake is also delicious. If you are not used to the smell of milk, don't buy milk buns and milk tofu, it is very fishy...

The most worthwhile B&B in Shaxi Ancient Town | Waking up to the first ray of sunshine in the morning I have always wanted to come to Shaxi Ancient Town after seeing the windy places. I finally came here on this vacation. I chose a B&B by blind chance. The service is so good that I can't say anything. The aunt in the store is very enthusiastic. After chatting with the aunt, I learned that she came from the next village to work. We like to eat the rice noodles made by the aunt. Before leaving, she bought some for us to take away and gave us the traditional method of making brown sugar specialty. The whole B&B is in the style of a new Chinese courtyard. There are only nine rooms in such a large courtyard! The furniture is textured and aesthetically pleasing. From the design to the bedding and daily necessities, they are all extreme. The room is very well lit, and I woke up to the first ray of sunshine in the morning. In the afternoon, I drank tea and chatted in the teahouse on the second floor. I felt that the warm sun in Shaxi was really comfortable. It is worthy of being called ”Yunnan Five-Star B&B” and ”the most beautiful B&B” in Shaxi Town👍 After staying in the fast-paced city for a long time, this is a paradise to escape from the high-pressure environment. Shiran is beautiful with sunshine, and I had a very pleasant holiday here. Thanks to the housekeeper for helping me upgrade to the room where the fairy sister lives. The service is very considerate, and the housekeeper can respond promptly when I ask for help with some problems. There are two choices of Chinese and Western breakfast. After staying for a long time, the housekeeper will take the initiative to ask if you want to adjust other styles. The fruit tea is also very delicious. On the coldest day, the housekeeper also put charcoal fire in the hall, and it was very warm when I pushed the door in. If I come to Shaxi next time, I will come to Shiran again.

This is the best accommodation we have had in Yunnan. The inn has a great environment and is antique. The inn is in the ancient town, but it is not noisy. You can also watch the stars on the third-floor rooftop at night. Every front desk service here is very good. They contacted us the night before and told us to go to the gate of the ancient town to notify them to arrange luggage transportation. When we arrived on the day, they came to help with the luggage on a small pink bike. It is indeed not easy to pull luggage on the small road in the ancient town, but fortunately there is a luggage transporter. The inn also provides breakfast, afternoon tea and supper. There are Western food or rice noodles for breakfast, but we chose rice noodles for three days because the rice noodles in the inn are the best we have eaten.

It's a very quiet place, very close to Shaxi Ancient Town. Even so, the village master (hotel owner) still picks him up and drops him off. I heard that there was a drama group here and I had my eye on it, but it hadn't been built yet, so I found it. elsewhere The hotel was designed by a foreign designer. The main structure of the house is relatively high-end and distinctive, and the village master's family is quite generous and welcoming, so it feels like home. I especially like the quiet one.
